Unfortunately, I am really not caring about any of the f1 teams. Sad. they are all the same. I miss the Ligiers, real Renaults, Ferrari's, Tyrells, Cosworth powered dreamers, bennetons, etc. Its all corporate, they all look the same, there is no innovation allowed, too many aero doodads that the casual fan could care less about, etc. No heroic drives in the rain from lesser teams with greater drivers possible. Genie is out of the bottle, I get it, just too bad. My thumb is firmly on the FF button through most of them and if I miss one, oh well.

The is easier on the brain, even got easy to follow animations which helped me to understand it all and make sense of the changes First impression is it should give the fans what they want of more over taking and a more leveled playing field https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk-JKrs0rrc I'm already busy I should start working on 2022 very soon Won's going to really like the front wing rules, he'll only need to do about one or two front wing profiles per aero update instead of the loads he has to do now |
In other news, Seems like Binotto was mighty pissed off at red Bull's allegations, and threatened Horner with legal action (diffamation presumably) against the team and drivers.
Also the new Renault CEO is not an F1 Fan and now there are rumors of a renault pullout, and that was even discussed with Liberty at Austin. Would suck for Ocon and Ricciardo. Hopefully that is all BS. And..the 2020 tire test did not go well, apparently the new tires are crap and they might stay with 2019 spec. Me, i kinda like it when teams are hating each other...Also when there were tire wars. Or at least when tires were good enough to not have to be managed. It's sprint, not endurance. |
I thought this was interesting. If Ferrari are suddenly down on power, it is not evident in the speed traps.

Without knowing the aero settings the top speed numbers are meaningless. There are ways to estimate power output but I'd imagine Max was just talking out of his ass.

I would imagine 70 hp would drop top speed down a bunch regardless of aero. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |
That's what the other teams would like you to believe. Maybe true, may not be true.
It certainly wasn't evident from the speeds they were reaching at Austin, see the numbers you posted above, so what exactly was Max observing? |

More like they found a loophole in the rules which was closed by a rule clarification F1 way of blocking another team for doing something you can't do or have time to do |

This one is for Won, which one is you?
1st year in F1 and a you win the double, congratulations, it doesn't get much better than that  http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1573167185.jpg |
Hmmm....seems what Ferrari were doing with their engines was metering fuel past he fuel-flow sensor at the maximum rate even when they didn't use all of it in the engine and "saving" some of the fuel. Then they could use some of the saved fuel + maximum fuel flow rate at other parts of the lap...

Thats very clever.

I would love to comment about this as its been around for at least 5yrs
A very simple solution, F1 has a knack of making the simple complicated |
OK, don’t leave us hanging. What do you know about this issue?
