Going to Goodwood Revival
My Son and I are going to Goodwood in September. Kind of a bucket list trip. I'm looking for some suggestions for thing to do for a few days after. I've been to London a couple of times. Thanks

I hope you have booked your hotel already. They get very full early
There are plenty of interesting coastal towns nearby.Dover has its castle and the White cliffs.Eastbourne is very genteel,as is Arundel. Brighton has its palace and the famous pier. The New Forest is an attraction with wild ponies . Stonehenge is the ancient Druid site. Covington tank museum .Beaulieu is a world famous car museum and nearby is Bucklers Hard, an old smugglers village which is well preserved ( not a plastic replica). You will need a car to get to any of these places. |

This. When I used to work at Vickers Defense I was part of the team that handed over finished Challenger II MBTs to the Tank Regiment and visited Bovington a couple of times. Great Museum. That part of the world (Dorset) is truly beautiful. You will need a car.

We went in 2017 and Paris before. A few thoughts, make sure you have period correct clothes as those that didn't were way out of place. The weather can be soaking wet, be ready to walk and go for the expensive tickets, absolutely worthwhile! And as petrolhead611 said get your room booked. We are going to do the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the next few years.
For a car guys an outstanding trip! Dave ![]()

I have nothing to add but to say that I'm super jealous! Enjoy! I think that will be a smashing good time.

Thanks for the advise. I booked a Airbnb outside of Chichester last week and bought the expensive
tickets after that. Now I've got to come up with some clothes....
