On the F150 today, I replaced the second of two heater hoses and because of the spindle lift and wheel offset, I had to grind down about 1/8” of the knuckle for tire clearance.
Then I went to the storage yard and started the wiring for the electrical brakes. All the long runs are done and I’ll finish it up the connections, when I bring it home to load the 330, when I go to VIR Friday. I was hoping the new trailer springs and U bolts would be here before I left, as you can see, they are flat and rusty. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725936899.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725936899.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725936899.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725936899.jpg |

The springs are supposed to be that shape.
Our well pressure tank blew a hole last night. Its an old bladderless one. Im just going to weld it up till we gather up parts. Does anyone know if I have to remove the air valve in the well pipe when converting to a bladder tank? |

Stall floor in part of the barn. As that part of the structure had been a shop when constructed 35 years ago, it had a conventional joist with hanger construction. When the space was repurposed I added a second layer of plank. Now the joist hangers have corroded and are being replaced with angle iron.
And so it goes. Best Les |

Do they lose their spring ability? This is a 2006 model and I’ve owned it less than a year. You can see where the tops of the U-bolt are hitting the aluminum structure and the tires hitting the underside of the fenders.
I was going to replace the springs, u bolts and sand/treat the surface rust on the axles. At some point, I may replace the axles, just to be on the safe side. Quote:

I got my pressure tank fixed up I was going to weld it but ended up just threading the rusted holes and using a bolt and rubber washer. with some jb weld over it for good measure. Maybe temporary maybe permanent. We shall see |

 ^^^ Thanks
I finished rewiring the brakes on the trailer. It had a lot of the original wiring, that had been hacked on, over the years. Loaded the 330 on the trailer and track supplies in the truck for the weekend. I have a few more things to do, wash the 330 and I’m off to VIR tomorrow. |

Managed to set the tub in mortar today. I needed to use what's called a direct waste drain set up.... not enough space to rough in the p trap on the new center line, so, direct waste drain shoe. It's not often used in residential, so it isn't readily available locally.
It took a while to find one in stock locally, but we prevailed. Now I'm leak checking and waiting for the water weight te squish the morter. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1726345318.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1726345318.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1726345318.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1726345318.jpg |

Cardboard over that tub edge you are scaring me! Great tile I always liked working with the glossy white subway tile on backsplashes and such. Not big ones like that those are cool.

Looks even better than I'd hoped. Thanks

I replaced my outside light over the driveway. And cleared a tub drain…. Whoop. You guys are awesome.

Replaced a tub cold side Pfister valve cartridge and it leaks worse than before… argh. Have a replacement will see if it’s any better.

Picked up my friend's 2019 Tacoma with 180k on it. Been sorting things out for the past couple weeks. Pulled the camper top, got a new set of wheels because the ones he gave me had bald tires. Installed running boards, a tonneau cover, pulled the rt rear 1/4 panel and installed a new rt rear bumper. That's it for the cosmetics and functionality.
As for mechanical, changed out the plugs and coil packs. Just did 1 upstream O2 and both downstream O2s tonight. Waiting for the other upstream to come in. Ordered 2 Bosch from Miami and the box that arrived was labeled 2, as did the invoice. Unfortunately, when I opened the shipping box, there was only one. I emailed the company immediately, but 30 hours later, no reply. I tried calling and there was no answer. Still waiting for a new alternator and driver's door lock actuator to arrive. |

I wonder how hard it would be to have the apprentice marks brazed over and the table put on a mill to flatten it? |
