I trimmed up the hedge in our side yard over yesterday and today. This thing is 120 ft long, 8 1/2 ft tall, and 9 ft wide!!! Lots of going up and down the ladder with the hedge hog electric trimmer. The hedge runs along the neighbor's chain-link fence and is too wide for me to be able to reach all the way across the top, so I always ask my neighbor for permission to enter their backyard so I can trim the whole top. My neighbor is in his late 70s and I don't want him to try getting up on a ladder and I know he would if I didn't go ahead and trim the whole thing. The hedge is mine so, I also feel it is my responsibility to trim it or not. I also cut up some leaves and washed the mower a little today as well. Pics of the hedge were taken from my 8 foot ladder and check out the tape measurer I used to measure the hedge!!!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d9400a40e8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4d236d9ad7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5e862d7b86.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0f4d62f578.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c7eb07bbdb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9e74671774.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...135bdafe1e.jpg

So at the track with the 5 car.
New engine, new rear gear worked great.
2 poles 2 wins.
We chased small oil leaks Friday and Saturday.
-4 rocker arm oil squirter line and the power steering pressurized line.
Friday testing a rock got under the power steering belt and threw it off, that took the alternator belt too.
Unfortunately I did not have my spare alternator belt so ran the weekend without a charging system.
Saturday fixed a pin hole in the Power steering line but the -4 rocker arm oil squirter line was still filling the Pig Mat wrap.
After everyone helped so much on Friday during the race on Saturday I kept racing with a little smoke in the cockpit.
So after the Saturday win it killed the battery in the pits driving back after the race.
Saturday I wanted to stay out win the race and make the 6 guys helping me feel good about it too.
Sunday pole and win again no leaks no smoke.

All my kitchen knives were very dull because my wife would abuse them and cut herself if I sharpened them. We are not together anymore and the dull knives were driving me crazy.
Using my Worksharp I went at my favorite knife that I bought a few years ago on the advice from my fellow Pelicans.
I chose the shiny sharp method. I can cut a tomato with the weight of the knife.
Sort of scary actually.

Squash crickets!

Giant cricket! I love it! I have a friend that ownes a sign shop, he takes my sketches in pencil and converts them to scale digitally over a profile pic. I give him exact measurements from a couple of points on the airframe and he does the rest using his print program. When its finished he runs it on his vinyl cutter. The material is an actual masking vinyl.
I shot the gold todayhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1763606869.jpg

Shot clear and pulled the masking... hours of masking tomorrow, for the white. Maybe green on Saturday, but more likely it'll be Monday.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1763680067.jpg

Chinese relay or an older German one?

Many many years ago, I was driving home from work late at night and my horn just started honking without me pushing on it. I quickly stopped, jumped out and pulled the relay!

Ten years ago I picked up a used angle grinder from a second hand store. It worked well until this spring when it didn't. I seemed like an intermittent fault. I bought a new one but of course didn't throw the old one away. Today I got to it. I had been thinking the brushes might be worn out, but upon inspection it turned out one of them was sticking in its holder. I cleaned it up and got the result I wanted!. Now I can keep cutting wheels in one and abrasive disks in the other. :D
