MGB Convertible Top
Guys I found a great deal on a 78 MGB. However, the convertible top bow is not on it. The frame is complete but it does need the canvas top. Anyone out there ever mounted the top frame on a MGB?

I've done a few MGA's, pretty straight forward, just keep material taught. An extra pair of hands helps. Lots of help on youtube

Try and make sure the material is warm when installing as it makes life easier. At least room temperature but preferably sun.int but not baking sun.

Not to throw water on your dreams, but do you know about MG's?
I owned a 65 and loved it. I wouldn't own an MG with the raised ride height and emission controls. HP went from 105 to 65 (roughly). The soft top is a minor consideration for your purchase. I will say that my MG was one of the most rewarding cars I have owned. |

Thanks for the inputs but the question pertains to the actual rack or bow (not sure of correct terminology) not the actual canvas.

Mine- a '70 - had a removable bow. It slid into two slots behind the seats along the inner panel. You stowed it in trunk after removing the canvas.
