Well, if you look back to the beginning of the thread, I predicted that someone big would acquire Tesla at some point and you will want to be holding their stock. I still believe this.

The real question is did anyone buy Sprint? It doubled in the last 24 hours.

By "fairly soon" I'm not saying tomorrow, but to me it seems like pretty much a lock that at some point in the future it'll be up there around ~$2000. Someone buying it at $750 will see a profit eventually. Like Wood at ARK, I'd say by 2025.
There's a 2017 video on Youtube with Ron Baron saying Tesla could hit $1000 by 2020; the comments over the years are fun to read. https://youtu.be/rXqu2b2D_XM

They announced a 2 billion issue today. Which means getting to $2000 is going to be a whole lot harder. The point I was making also was about market cap vs. stock price. AMZN has a market cap over over 1 trillion dollars.... TSLA is so far from that its not worth comparing the two.

There was a rumor the other day about Google having interest in TSLA. That got shut down faster than you can say BOO. The untapped beauty in TSLA is their data acquisition. The more people who drive a TSLA the more they know about the driver and others, the more they will be able to sell targeted adds. Don't forget your TSLA car is monitored by TSLA 24/7 and they collect every piece of data they can think of.

Oh, I didn't realize that was guaranteed and no other car companies were entering the electric car market.
It's funny to say this but $50 billion is probably "pocket change" in the developing space race. And I didn't say when he'd sell it. But people like Musk are always looking at the bigger picture. Electric cars are pretty small compared to space.

but only a part of Tesla is Electric cars - the whole thing is the synergy of EVs/PV installations/storage
IF it works out, he will revolutionize the entire energy sector - $50 Bill would then be chump change. Besides, he needs a hobby - some guys cannot retire*, esp. when young * and yes, you know who you are... |
