If it isn't profitable and can't get invited into the S&P, you will prolly be right. I'll put in a stop loss before that. Maybe 1350 or so. Not sure.

Dunno what that means, but as long as there ain't no commission ....

EDIT Looked it up. Not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in china .. no fees or commissions on this account.
Quote:
What Is Churning?
Churning is a term applied to the practice of a broker conducting excessive trading in a client's account mainly to generate commissions. Churning is an unethical and illegal practice that violates SEC rules (15c1-7) and securities laws. While there is no quantitative measure for churning, frequent buying and selling of securities that does little to meet the client's investment objectives may be evidence of churning.

The only fee or commish I've paid YTD was when I bought into a vanguard fund, hit me with a $75 cover charge at the door.
thy didn't say anything about a two drink minimum but i got a cool hand-stamp out of it.

John Bogle invented low costs...

Btw, TSLA is 'revving' up China ops... that puts them into a covid-controlled or covid-free area; nice hedging of his investments in a big & growing market

you can say he's crazy but you can't say he's stupid

Oh he's smart all right.
I just wish he'd be smart with his own darn money and leave them tax revenues alone
If he did that a long time ago I'd be one of his biggest fans.

I have a sell order of my 5 shares at $2000...I thought there was no chance of it getting there, but it looks possible...

If it's just bad, it'll go up a lot
Often, stocks that run up strongly into earnings get sold off at the earnings report, even if its good news. "Sell the news"

Spot on, but Tesla doesn't seem to follow the rules very well, hard to predict. Or maybe it's just me.

it's easy when it's easy until it isn't easy

It's absolutely nutz, but then again this is 2020.
I put in a stop loss at 1520 just in case it tanks in the morning.

As expected, it sold off 5% today.
It will probably drop more after earnings.

5% is nothing

if it drops by 50% still nothing

OTOH, it's not just a car co. - also energy storage, energy - No wait! There's more!

*** it is also a robotics co. AND an AI popeil!

and there's the expected S&P500ization of the co.

So let's see... take the arcsine of the throbbing erect price movement, divide by the angle of the dangling non-earnings, then take the nth root of the Lyapunov fn on the complex plane thus formed...

still too high
