Tesla just seemed to waller around between 1450 and 1500 so I dumped the $$ into 90 shares of cvx at 88.
Its woke and up to 92 pre-market. Sell order is in at $120 (maybe a year from now).

Fun game, see how long it takes to turn the original $3200 into 10k. It's over $8k now.
It's easy when it's easy but not when it's hard.

Prolly won't be as fun when it starts going the other way, but that's why I'm playing small.

Es-Em-all. Small.
Let's see who gets that really obscure movie reference. At least it's car-related
LOL it's also related to the threat title sort of.

closed at 1374, and shot up to 1454 after hours. Still sketchy.
I'm kinda burned out on it for now, onto bigger and better things.

Woweee!
I had a sell order at $2000 per share. So my five shares sold. I made a profit of $7,411.
Not bad for a casual investor
What should I do with the 10Gs in my vanguard account? I don’t need the cash.
Any advice? Put it back into the S&P.... or?

I don’t have any bond investments. What should I be looking at? I’m 43 years old with two kids for what it’s worth. I don’t have much long term savings
I’m a live for the moment kind of person.

Tesla will rebound. Musk is a showman and he has other tricks up his sleeve. Isn't this about the time that Tesla announces another new product?

You'd think that Tesla was the clear market leader in at least two major industries given its market capitalization, but instead it's a small, boutique player in the auto industry with a fiercely loyal fanbase that is willing to overlook the vehicles' flaws and build-quality issues. This enthusiasm obscures the reality of the company: even at current stock prices, Tesla would have to manufacture every new vehicle sold on the planet at an obscene profit margin for its stock price/market cap to be justified.

While the company should have gone out of business years ago, it will continue on in its current form for at least another 5-10 years. If the number of people killed while beta testing prematurely released autonomous driving technology can't sink this company, no rational reason can. Instead, what will happen is the next shiny thing will come along and Tesla won't be as new and exciting anymore.

From what I read, most of the "tech" stocks took a hit yesterday. Apple, Microsoft and others all took a hit.

Some would suggest keeping it in cash, at least until after the third week in October.
Then SPY or QQQ ... MIGHT be a play.

Your mileage may vary.

So the plan is to announce a $25,000 Tesla while people are still waiting for the $35,000 Tesla?

Buy on rumor, sell on fact. The fact was yesterday and today, the battery day. People sold, the price went down a lot.

Next week might bring new rumors causing a run-up, or at least recovery. Stay tuned.

See, that's what we call a .... .drumroll .... RUMOR!
