Get off my lawn!
|
I was at a local grocery store several years back and the express aisle had a big sign, 12 items or less. Some broad pushed up her overflowing cart the to a clerk and started unloading it. The clerk in a semi loud voice just asked her which 12 items she wanted? She had not started any transaction and was standing there with her arms crossed.
The pushy broad stopped, and put her crap back in the cart, and backed away. I was happy to walk up and unload my 8 items and check out. I even thanked her for not just checking her out. She said the owner of the store made it clear, the express lane is for the express customers, and letting a full cart into that lane is unfair to the other clients that play by the rules.

^^^
I've had the reverse happen a lot. We have a 15 item or less lane. Many times when I have only one item, the person with a full 10-15 tells me to go ahead of them.
