I saw a pair of Dunlavey’s in the pictures on that website that was linked earlier. A pair of those might get my attention...

Yeah, but didn’t you once tell me you’re damn near deaf? You know, a personal dynamic range of about 400 Hz?

Hell, I can’t hear worth a crap either. Last time I took a hearing test I was surprised how lousy my hearing was. I would tell you how bad it was, but my memory also sucks, so I can’t remember the details...

Here's mine, not quite finished setting up from a recent move Back in the day we used play them loud and long, all night parties w/ "Barn Ball" Volleyball using my 3 story barn as one side and in play. These days I only play Pandora as background music so 100 Watts a side is plenty, still have both big amps, 'just in case' The interconnect is not really a power cable, it connects the 2 sides and does some voodoo to flatten the sound, I'd have to dig out the manuals to find out. Also have some tests from bak in the day. I still love the L100s though even though I've burned out the crossovers, tweeters and all the foam has melted, fortunately I have an in in the industry that keeps the parts coming.

I've been very impressed with a Chinese "clone" of the old Conrad Johnson tube circuit-think I paid 250 or so for it new.

Hey Bob, are you saying you'll send me some speakers? If so, very kind of you. But I'm not sure where I can get some Keystone Light for you. ![]() Let me know what you are thinking, sorry if I read this incorrectly.

All in all, great recommendations, thanks everyone! Have googled a lot, looks like some great choices for reasonable money.

I like Polks. The Monitor 7's sound great with my vintage Yamaha CA800 and a turntable, I keep the Monitor 4's in the shop, and I have enough of the matching RT series' to fill every slot on a 7.1 channel home theater. They all sound good enough for me. But I'm no expert.

Yes, but shipping would be silly expensive when far better options are available used close by.
Plus, I can't vouch for the integrity of them because I don't know speakers and even if perfect, better speakers are available for cheap. If we were local to each other would be easy to just test on your amp.
