I understand the OP's point but based on that measurement, 50% of television programs should be offensive for being a bad influence in any number of ways.

I didn’t say it was offensive. I take no offense. I simply think conflating driving with playing a video game is irresponsible. Apparently in the big cities there are a lot of rich young people who are enticed to buy an expensive car by the video game ad but would never drive as if it were a game.

You just don't understand much. It's a good thing you're away from other people.

Actually, seen another way, Patrick is ahead of the game in this discussion...In some areas (like Portland) where there is a decent-sized percentage of the population that use the streets for alternative means of transportation, ads like this are seen as irresponsible, legitimizing dangerous behavior that has the potential to kill or maim innocent soft targets like cyclists or pedestrians or the like.

Yes, I know, these cars are on a track, and all the lawyerspeak is safely installed in the small print.

I'm neither opposing nor championing a side, I'm just aware that there is pushback.

I heard they needed two ALPHA'S (sic) to be able to keep at least one of em running for the entire 30 second commercial ;)

That's pretty good. ^^

What about the video game commercials where they use real people?
