One of my little friends at PARF decided to take his disagreement with me out into the real world, spreading lies about me in the local PCA and track communities. Another decided to call jihad on me, directly threatening to come out to my house and kill me. All because of political disagreements.

It's odd--these are people I've never met, and who I might actually be friends with in real life, seeking to do serious damage to me professionally and personally. Because of a stupid online political board. It certainly brings out the worst in people.

Weird. I mean it's not like you ever got deep into PARF ...and downright nasty towards others there. :rolleyes:

I guess others took you a bit too seriously. although I'm questioning how much you are embellishing^. I mean now that you want to sanitize yourself from being waist deep in PARF for so long.

I find myself coming here less and less these days. Too many instances where people let their politics bleed over and ruin what could have been a good discussion.

Okay guys and gals... I'm really starting to get tired of this. I've seen some stuff and others are PM'ing me about PARF posts in PPOT. It just keeps increasing these past few weeks and it really shouldn't. Because of this, I'm going to start handing out bans.

Please keep PPOT seperate from PARF.

PARF is by no means a no mans land. You should still be able to have a respectful discussion there.

Eric, it is often the people complaining that bring up the subjects and make the posts.

Good to know you'll be on the job. I think some people will be surprised when the rules tighten to find they are breaking them themselves.

I like to wait until a topic moves, or is moved to reply if the subject belonged in PARF. There have been a few times in the past that movement hasn't happened.

I laughed at your post because of how true it was. I can see some SJW's getting their panties in a wad over it.

Some people make fun on things in OT that I find off putting, I move on and do not bother mods with it. I have no idea what kind of defect a person has to have in order to feel a need to stir the pot to the point that a mod is losing his temper over posts on a freaking car forum.
