The version I showed you is for Hazmat and first responders. We have other versions (we don't do sensors, we integrate them) and ave a DoD UAS that is bigger and we can tether it, proving power, contol and sensor management over the tether.

The key is footprint and all dynamic components are in the duct. Very quiet and safe and, for Hazmat, the air outside the duct is quiescent, the air readings are true.

Yes.

The T-45 Hawk was the Army's version of our design, gas powered for EOD, designed by my partner.

Watchman, our UAS, is an extension of the Hller design, which we feature in our briefs.

Demo day:

Well the cross country drive and all the work paid off today..... I got to fly our little birdy. What a privilege. This was one of those rare moments in time that the realization exceeded the expectation. What an amazing and surreal gift. That's my cfi on the right, a 35000 hr pilot 15000 hours of it is tailwheel time!

We actually have a double duct model that has flown that the package delivery folks are very interested in.

Open Unmanned system rotors and package delivery is a combination of stupid that is hard to imagine.

The other cool thing is we have a tethered version that launches and recovery from vehicles while underway.

I'll post after that demo.

Right on WRT to open rotors. Something that I might have overlooked not being remotely close to the technology. I can say that I've wondered about operators of drones and the potential to crash the thing into oneself.

I'll take a veggie pizza, please. The backyard will be fine, thank you.

The math is really simple: To take ten pounds of anything Vertical, Take-off and Land (VTOL) is a big quad rotor. There are shrouded rotors, etc. but the Cuisinart aspect of quads is real.

Little Sparky and his dog will get hurt.

We'll see what happens in the commercial trade space for our flyers. We will be turning the day-to-day ops over soon. Young persons game.

That's a tidy little airplane; it looks fast and fun, and the graphics are just right. Not over the top but eye catching and well-executed.

It depends. We don’t have a tail rotor and are electric and the duct is very efficient.

Shoot me you email and I’ll show you the math.

He was an ag pilot and never quite instruction... 6 to 8 hours in the am then instruction then more spraying after 5... until dark.. many many years of it. I know another ag pilot in Texas that builds 700 hrs a year... it's not un common for them to build that kind of time if they live long enough....
It's what dad did as well.
