The ones being cut lose (fired) are now being rehired under the new program.
It is hard or impossible to argue with the facts that I posted above.

We had a military pilot that was allowed points to pass, he about killed me once.
That was the last time I gave him a chance.
I think that puts me in the expert box also.

Don't know if any of you follow "Rebuild Rescue" on Youtube-channel about a guy in Chester Co. Pa who buys and rebuilds abandoned airplanes-but a plane of theirs went down Thursday killing one of the show's pricipals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPV-YF-Knj4

No cause yet, but appears to be potentially a double engine failure on takeoff. Plane was recently fueled, and speculation is maybe Jet A contamination.

Took this an hour or so ago...my neighbor has a grass landing strip.

The photo is his son flying. Senior passed away four years ago. I have about 100 hours in the Cub with his Dad, a former F-4 RIO and an excellent pilot. Made me smile.

There is really nothing like flying off of grass, especially in a vintage taildragger. Really makes you appreciate flying the antique birds!!

You should try something other than the Cub line. They are really tight inside compared to others from that era like an Aeronca Champ. I fly the 4 place Sedan and loads of room inside, thats why they make great bush aircraft.

Very nice. Sometimes the best flying is at 500-1000 ft AGL cruising along at 100 kts (or less). Even better if you can open the window, remove a door or sit in an open cockpit to smell the countryside below.

If I understand correctly, the Grumman had previously had a double prop strike. From Blancolirio and Probable Cause, the right engine failed, the aircraft was running 160hp Lycomings, Best single engine climb ~200fpm, with feathered prop and clean airframe. Probably didn't get cleaned up and hovered on the edge of stall then dropped the right wing and went in.
Will it start? and other such "restoration" videos are entertainment when cars and bikes are involved, too darned risky when aircraft are involved.

From the looks of the props, it appears neither engine was producing power on impact.
Someone at the airport heard backfires on takeoff.
There's a picture in a reddit thread on this of someone who recently got a giant slug of water from the Signature FBO at Coatsville. They've had a bunch of rain there.
So many possibilities. The prop strike wasn't severe, right hit a taxiway light and left the runway edge on reentry, and fwiw they did the AD proceedure (but not a teardown). So it could be anything from a mag failure related to that, a simple crank fail, or a fueling issue. The fact that neither prop appeared bent or feathered ? Engines intact, no fire, so NTSB will get around to it eventually.

I guess the bottom line is: don't stall the aircraft. Get the nose down and head for that spot you wisely noted as the best straight ahead place to go when the fecal matter hit the fan.

The left prop was bent severely, the right half missing.

Agreed! Did a run to Alaska with my FIL in 2016 in his PA12. 70 hours of flight time, 35 stops, all well under 1000 AGL...
