I had the privilege of taking the full scale Fire-scout MQ-8B model to both Spain (Ferrol) and Germany (Bremerhaven) Naval yards
Our marketing Department wanted to show their Naval brass that it would fit onboard their frigates and would fit into the onboard hanger
I had to recruit a couple of sailors to help attach the rotor blades and with the blade stowage.

Very cool. The pictures I posted are nearly 20 years old...I was standing on the starboard side of the Nashville.

Neat aircraft.

Is there a market / avenue for selling used aircraft gauges? I inherited several boxes of used gauges as well as a dashboard that appears to be from some type of fighter plane as there is a switch / label for arming guns. Appreciate the guidance

There was a recent crash of a military cargo plane in Turkey, where the fuselage was missing forward and aft of the wings. Did they ever find out what happened?

I've been to Fairbanks in winter multiple times.
Nope.

The most important thing to protect is the engines. At those temps, the oil turns to thick jelly.

Don't know about the commercial airlines, but general aviation usually shuts down at -40.

A930,

I've seen a picture of the falling fuselage with the wings attached it was missing one prop (#2?). If so looks like improper maint. similar to what NADEP Cherry Point did in 95-96 timeframe, then a USAF depot replicated the Six Sigma "savings" resulting in the VMGR 452 loss.
