It’s good to see the money his parents spent at etiquette school wasn’t wasted ..

Canes Chicken Fingers are a Louisiana thing. Hands down the best fingers.
Started in Baton Rouge back in the 90’s as a late night , on the way home from drinking place to eat. They only sell chicken fingers and fries.

chick-fil-a sandwiches are about the best fast food chicken sandwich you can get. Something about that pickle juice in the batter and how juicy it is. Waffle fries aren't too shabby either.
You should give it a shot if you come across one, so long as its not Sunday.

They are few and far between, but Pollo Campero (a Central American chain) has great fried chicken. There's one up here by the Burbank Airport....

I tried raising canes about a month ago for the first time.
it was OK, fine, good, but not great.
And it was pretty darned expensive for what I got.

I'll take a spicy chicken sandwich or two from Carls jr. instead.

For me, it would be Bojangles (they still around?), then Popeye's.

Wendy's spicy chicken is good too.

If I am going to Carl's, it is Super Star time.

It beats going running. Imagine the workout your heart and arteries get from that.

I can't talk. I had the most blissful pigout at KFC a couple of days ago.

Just finished it , and I’d much rather have kfc .
Or even a McDonald’s chicken sammich ....
I rarely eat fast food, chicken, burgers, tacos, etc... If I had to choose between Raising Cane's (never been there), KFC (it's been a long time) or Chick fil-A (been a couple of years), I'd definitely opt for the Chick-fil-A. They make tasty stuff. Popeye's makes tasty stuff, or at least it did years ago, when I worked at one (it's been <30 years since I had anything from Popeye's). Their chicken was good, but the biscuits were amazing. I have no idea what Popeye's or KFC are like today.

Raising Cane's is absolutely bizarre in my book. They basically only sell chicken strips, literally the easiest junk food to make and pretty hard to screw up. Insult to injury: they have 2 sauces available, and neither are bbq. I am thinking of opening a fast food restaurant that only serves pbj sandwiches. White bread only no wheat!

I’m not a huge fan of fast food fried chicken, but I do enjoy some Popeye’s and a tub of red beans and rice.

I had to deliver a 964 for some work today and has I was re-fueling the uhaul ready for return I decided I was going to visit the kfc as soon as I’d dropped it off .
(There would be carnage if I tried to drive a pick-up and trailer into the kfc lot , never mind the drive through )
I liked it when they only did the original finger-licking good chicken and didn’t need , want , or buy the crispy version they introduced a few years back .

So today I go thinking I’m not getting my ussual meatatarian bucket , but instead will go for the healthy option and get the chicken sammich to do a comparison with canes chicken tenders dippers sammich .

Oh .
No .

There was no such thing as a chicken sammich !!

Maybe 4 different “gourmet” type barbecue sammich and I think 2 versions of the Cheetos sammich thing .

Colour me Disappointed.

For some reason there aren’t a lot of kfc near me , and the nearest one is 10 minutes drive into an area I’m never passing so I don’t get there as often as I’d like .
And when I do it’s a bucket .
I never realized just how much they had entered this race to the bottom ....

In the end I went to McDonald’s and got 2 fr $3 . Burger and chicken sammich .

I read/heard that 5 guys and places like that started it with gourmet burgers that people will pay more for , and the original fast-food places wanted some of their markets share back .

Well it sucks .

When I want fast food I want it fast , I want it cheap , I don’t care if it kills me , I want something I know .
I don’t want to study a menu . That’s for restaurant visits .

My Last Carl’s Jr. visit had no burger deals and they don’t even sell fish sammich any more !!
Ended up costing me 8.5 dollars for a burger just to fill a hole on the way home from work .
If I had planned to stop 5 minutes and eat-in I would have walked out and gone to the Thai place next door and got a $10 curry and rice ..

And to top it off my local McDonald’s no longer do fish sammich Friday deals !!
