Beautiful car, Matt.

I've wondered what it would be like to own and drive a Boxster.

Considering none of my 3 Porsches have air conditioning - and I live in Florida - that alone makes the idea attractive.

To get an example as nice as your is at only $15.5K is very very tempting.

But alas....I'm getting ready to re-roof my home so that pretty much trumps everything as far as priorities.

GLWS!

Do both!

You can do it!

My name is Bill and I am an enabler....SmileWavy

Looks like a fun car to have! Nice colour.

I really like the color.

Nice Boxster. Probably not the best time of year to sell one in the midwest, though...

I never had to buy one to know that they're not for me.

He’s a slow learner. This is like his 3rd or 4th! 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Baz! I totally get it, I have to pay for siding sometime soon. Home ownership is GREAT!

What’s replacing it?

Dunno. Something fun, similarly priced, fun, unique, and reliable. I’m leaning towards a C5 Z06, I’ve always liked those.

Nice, would like to pick up one at some point, because you have had different ones is there any real preferred years?

Good question! I’ve sorta been there done that with all the modern stuff and feel like something different.

What’s your budget? Probably my favorite of the two seater options is a 987 Cayman S.

Thanks for the info Matt, I was thinking more in the 15-20k range Canadian (11-15us), so a 987 would not fit in, but I will try to find a 987 and drive it to appreciate the difference. Would prefer a Cayman but the Boxster's seem to be more abundant. Just want a fun driver that can be left in a parking lot, so cheaper is better. Not in a rush but trying to understand what the differences are between years.

Honestly my favorite of the 986 and 987 is the Cayman. They are stiffer and quite frankly I’m more of a coupe guy. The Boxster is also a great car I just never put the top down. I find the Boxster to be a bit more playful with the Cayman being a bit more tied down and overall a slightly better handler. Cayman also gets the edge in practicality due to the large hatch area. I don’t know about Canada but I’m the USA you can find a base Cayman in good shape with moderate mileage for about $15k. Also moving from 986 to 987 you get a nicer interior and more HP out of the base engines. I had a base 2005 Boxster and felt it was plenty quick.
