how to make em there. |
They need to make those penalty boxes bigger in Boston!
Nice to see some emotion in these last regular season games. |
Good game coming up. Flyers vs. Bruins. Nice test for the upstart Flyers.
|
Yup, this is the time of year where regular season start to look like playoffs. I didn't like losing to Tampa but after the horrendous start, 4-3 is somewhat encouraging. We even had a shot hit the crossbar in the last minute or two. The B's don't go away if they get behind (except for that 9-3 disaster but hey, I'd rather see that in February than April-June).
The Flyers are the real deal. They could be trouble for whoever they face next month. The Caps are slumping at a bad time. Being that today is International Women's Day I'm going to root for Cindy and the Pens. |
Could be a good game tonite Flames and Vegas. Every PE islander was a
Vegas fan until they canned "Turk". We've all put a curse on the Knights since then. Go Flames! On TV at 8 pm atlantic time. |
Does anyone know where Doc Emrick is? He just suddenly disappeared from the NBCSN broadcasts. He is the finest NHL announcer I have ever heard in my 50+ years of watching/listening to hockey.
OBTW, Cindy lost today. Darn. ;) |
The Pens got spanked hard today, one day after getting pretty well owned by the Caps. What's wrong with them? Not complaining, but just curious ;)

By the way, WE BEAT THE RANGERS!!! YAAAAAY! |
He's been gone a month and not one word.
BTW Flat, before you whine about NJ, you guys have almost twice as many points as Detroit. They are playing for pride and can enjoy being the spoilers and nothing else. Today the Wings beat Tampa 5-4  Tampa must be so embarrassed. |
Anyone watching the Blues - Blackhawks game with the all women broadcast team?
|
Not tonight, but I do luv me some Lauren Gardner.
Yeah Detroit has had a bad bad season. Those +51s are pretty sweet. |

Some really entertaining hockey being played around the league these days.
I've watched more non Flyers games this season then in any of the last bunch of seasons. Lots of parity in the league and lots of interesting teams and stories. I have to chuckle these days... so much Flyers talk on the local sports radio stations now. All the "experts" are coming out of the woodwork. |

Over all the game was called well. There were a few times where it seemed like they were taking too much time to dialog about stats (to prove their expertise) while all kinds of things were happening on the ice. Its a rookie mistake to keep talking instead of stopping, calling what's happening, and then finish the discussion.

who insist upon babbling about some obscure bit of trivia during on-ice action. Thirty-nine or so days before the playoffs - unless the COVID-19 thing continues to spiral & bugger up all things far more important than hockey. Cheers JB |

Most teams have about a dozen games left. The race for the Rocket Richard Trophy is close. A few teams (other than the ones so far out of it they are already "done" for the year) are on the verge of being on the golf links in about a month. The BRUINS have a 100 points as of tonight. :D Marchand has 86 points and could end up with another 100 point season. :p Rask got his 50th career shutout tonight. TUUUK Pasta is 2 goals shy of 50 for the year. The last Bruin to do it was CAM NEELY! Like is good. SmileWavy |
