Ha ha - jokes on me!

In the early 80's I was working an hourly factory job. A girl (Debbie D, damn good looking) was hired as a machine cleaner and she took a liking to me. One day she asked me what time I was going to lunch because she had brought me lunch. Fine with me! She was a country girl and fixed a nice spread. For months she brought me lunch every single day. But she wouldn't let me get to first base. Wouldn't even go out with me on a date. Not a problem for me since I was still getting a free home made lunch. Sadly, she was promoted to a trucker job and my free lunch was gone!

Fast forward to today. As I was going into a restaurant for lunch a lady was pushing another lady in a wheelchair. I held the door open and helped them in. I got a table and ordered when the lady walked up to me and asked me my name. "I thought I recognized you! I am Debbie D from Goodyear!" My hottie I think! She asked if they can sit with me. Sure, but I will go to your table. So I move to her table and she introduces me to wheelchair lady. Lisa H, another Goodyear associate I knew. Debbie says Lisa had a stroke earlier this year. She says "She been my partner for years. Been married since 2015....."

Now I know.😊

So that's why she had lots of sandwiches and no one to eat them.

It's a shame about her partner. Having a stoke would suck big time.

At least you got some free lunches.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda.
Consider that memory as an accomplishment for yourself and no one else. Maybe something dodged.
Debbie found her true niche in life but with setbacks. I'd also wish them well.

We should all wish that we can find someone willing to push our wheelchair...

Absolutely...not too late. Convert her back to our team. I'm sure there are plenty of us old farts on this car forum that can guide you through the process.

Bless Lisa's little heart.

So did she age well, or does she look like Rosie O’Donnel?
