Have any of you ever had the pleasure of being escorted into "that" room? I got singled out one time in Qatar. Two young men with a black lab. I swear the dog winked at me...
Funny, though, when we got into the room (actually a big tent set up in the lobby), I asked them what they wanted me to do. One of them said "meh, just hang out with us for awhile". It turns out they didn't want to do it either. It was all for show. They knew who I was, who I worked for, why I was there - all of it. I wound up sitting there petting their dog as we b.s.'d about F1 and other important topics (they were both car guys). After about ten minutes of that, we all shook hands, and off I went.
