I hope everyone triples the price of all the BS that most people don't need and won't make a lick of difference in this issue. Stupid should hurt.

Guess what the wife asked me to pick up on the way home?

Out of toilet paper? Is Bernie president already?

Paper towels work. Just a little rough on the browneye, though.

I have a pretty good supply of sandpaper...all grits.

Regular grocery trip today, guess my timing wasn’t great?:) Really the only bare shelves were for TP (why?) but otherwise we got what we needed. Also now have plenty of booze, which is top priority. I have never seen a grocery store that busy, I suspect by this weekend the shelves will be getting pretty bare.

Went to Costco tonight (my regular shopping night - it's usually quiet...) and the place was wiped out of the staples.

Freezers full, pantry full, liquor cabinet full, check. And plenty of **** roll.

I was talking with some folks and they were saying the rice, pasta and beans were sold out at the markets.

We have a lot of meat in the freezer along with vegetables and other items and I'm driving home and thought "Cost Plus World Market".

Swung in there and picked up pasta, noodles, sauces, asparagus soups and a few other items. Walked right up to the check stand, in and out in 10 minutes.

Talking to someone in Del Rio TX, they went to two HEB's and then a Walmart(???). Ended up going to a Walgreens for TP.

Is it really a panic? There are many households that prepare ZERO food at the house. So if they suddenly realize they are all going to be home and want to have a couple week's worth of food, they need to buy quite a lot.

At my house the selection may be a bit bland, but at any given time we could survive for at least 3 months if we have freezers functional and maybe 2 months on non-perishable items.

I took this about 45 minutes ago at the local super market. Zero toilet paper!

They had plenty of groceries & other daily essentials. I just don't understand people.

Everyone who sees the empty shelves will buy more than they need the next time they are available.

We are in Belize doing a project down here. My wife found a lot of antibiotic wipes in the local grocery stores (all run by Asians BTW). She posted them on eBay. One auction was up to $30 for 3 packages with 9 wipes per package!! So basically $1/wipe.

eBay cancelled all of that type of auction.

She is generally pretty anti-gun, but saw my point.

My relatives in Spain told me that stores are encouraging customers to use credit cards so that the store employees don't have to handle cash possibly carrying Covid.

Whole Foods Park Ridge IL, last night. Not sure why AMZN stock is so beat up, they're probably gonna have a fantastic quarter.
