The media has just gotten sleazy. Though it did occur to me that this pic could be fake/misleading. But they are still sleazy.

Going to have shorter hours to panic shop at Wal Mart. All stores going to 6 am to 11 PM schedule.

Tobra 03-14-2020 07:25 PM

That is shorter hours?

The media finally found something that works after pushing "Russia" for 3 years.

The sad part is that many people will never realize they were panicking over a virus that is somewhere between the cold and the flu as far as symptoms go.

Yeah, the panic may come to an abrupt halt when people realize they were lied to by the media. Can't have that happen. Must keep the hoax up at all costs.

Last I checked, the vast majority of the deaths were from a single nursing home (36 out of 41 as of yesterday). No deaths under 50. The vast majority of those infected have a minor fever, a cough, and feel a little tired and the worst of the symptoms pass after 1 day, if they show any symptoms at all.

Swine flu killed and infected many more people in the US, but the media downplayed it. Why is that? We don't freak out about colds or the flu either. There are other strains of coronavirus circulating through the population causing similar symptoms (as they have for millennia). There very clearly is an agenda here.

I didn't take pictures at Kroger today. But there was no meat. Most aisles had some stuff, but a lot of shelves were empty. Lots of specific items were completely sold out. Milk & Bread, short supply. There were no bags for veggies. Bread yeast was fine.

I was able to get my brands of pasta sauce (even on sale!)
No liquid Windex or refills
Most of the flour was gone, but the more expensive (Gold Medal) was available
Some Sugar
The Rice and Beans areas were short, but there was some product on the shelves.
Coke, etc, sold out.
Beer, no problem.
My type and brand of breakfast sausage, no issue.
Plenty of frozen veggies
Ice cream, no issue.

At 9PM, we were in and out in 20 minutes.

Gas is down to $1.93. With a 50 cent discount, $1.43/gallon. Filled the truck with over 26 gallons for about $38! $1.44 was the price of gas 16 years ago when we moved back to Texas.

We're going to go to Samsclub tomorrow, mostly to get cloth bar towels we use around the kitchen. Probably look for meat there.

My parents went to walmart at 6 when they opened and was able to buy bleach. Only had 10 gallons on the shelf. Evidently that's your only chance to get it.
Costco had only smart, and arrow head brand water. Limit two cases. One employee said they gave out tickets for the 180 packs of tp (10 pallets that they receive daily). Limit one. Lines were very short, didn't even have to wait.

It's funny to see how some people will use absolutely any situation to claim that they are being victimized by the media and that our poor old, put upon leader is getting treated so badly.

If you don't think the media is stoking the flames of hysteria in this situation you just aren't paying attention. You also aren't a fan of history, because it's what the media does in EVERY CRISIS, real or made up. The GD Weather Channel names winter weather systems to make them sound scarier for God's sake. Anything to keep the sheeple tuning into the TV.
