Please stop.

There's already enough fake news from both sides and this thread deserves better.

Notice as Sammyg2 already pointed out to you, no one else has made any claim of proof, just anecdotes and opinions.

You state opinions as if they were facts. That's fake news.
"The French study has been refuted. " is a case in point.

Again, I can't help but question motives.
I'm no fan of Whitner, but your post is very contradictive. She opposed physicians loading up their friends and families with these drugs in case they need them at some point. That's completely different than opposing the use of these drugs to treat COVID patients.

Sheesh, guys....please read the articles you post.

About time... a study which should have been launched a month ago.

Quote:
Henry Ford Health System will lead the first large-scale study in the nation to determine the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine in preventing COVID-19.

“If this works out, we'll save the lives of first responders around the world,” said Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, in announcing the trial Thursday afternoon.

The Detroit-based hospital system seeks 3,000 health care workers and first responders for the study, which may determine whether the drug helps prevent COVID-19, especially among those most exposed to the deadly virus.

...

In fact, Henry Ford doctors have already been prescribing hydroxychloroquine off-label for some patients hospitalized with COVID-19.

“We need this in our front lines for our Detroit police officers and EMTs, but also our health care workers, people in the emergency room and in our intensive care units, who are day in and day out, putting their lives on the line to protect our community,” said Dr. Steven Kalkanis, Henry Ford’s chief academic officer.

Another study pops up... results in 8 weeks, summer.

Quote:
A multi-site clinical trial, led by the University of Washington Department of Global Health/International Clinical Research Center (ICRC) in collaboration with NYU Grossman School of Medicine, aims to definitively determine whether hydroxychloroquine can prevent transmission in people exposed to the virus.
...

“Our goal is to stop transmission of COVID-19 in the community,” Barnabas said.

Haven't read the study, but it APPEARS to be on the prophylactic use of HCG. That is a whole different ball game than all the other studies mentioned. If it is effective in this type of use, it could be quite helpful.

Expanding the participant base. I read in a different forum that they were having a hard time getting enough study participants, may be true or not.

Have also read that the treatment of choice is in combination with Zinc. Not sure if these studies cover that.

Seen the post and read the link. Seems success in 699 patients should be considered a case study. Also, looks like there may be other meds available for treating covid-19. Hydroxychloroquine seems harmless if prescribed in the right doseage. Why do we have to sweat it out waiting for these drugs while we have a virus that's currently out of control? Couldn't the trials be expedited even a bit more. Currently, we have over 300,000 patients to conduct studies on. Seems like a lot of bureaucracy.

I think the main problem is that there is no money to be made by big Pharma form HCQ and zinc sulfate, because they are old drugs, expired patents. They may even suppress the info on success, or come up with their own bogus studies to disqualify those drugs.

Big Pharma has their eyes on a vaccine, because that is where the big money is. Especially if government forces everybody to get it, every year...and pays them for it.

The longer this pandemic goes on, the more skeptical people are becoming of the constant barrage of doom, gloom and lack of hope for treatment. There are so many anecdotal reports of success with HCQ and zinc by people on the front line, yet most media seem to suppress the topic wherever possible.

Is it political?...everything is political. Is it financial?...everything is financial. Or is it legit?...

If it’s a or b...that is pure evil considering the death toll and the impact on our economy.

If Hydroxychloroquine & associated drugs work, Cuomo will be singing in the streets. I'm concerned NY has been using it more than a week now, and we're not seeing positive feedback.
