So I’m watching Onward. It’s fantastic.

Pixar does good work.

I finished watching that movie 20 minutes ago, it kept my attention throughout, something that is rare these days. Good movie.

It hit home. I’m the older brother, and we lost our dad.

Dust got in my eyes,, dust.

Great movie.

I just watched the short of Onward. Looks good.

Toy Story 4 is just brilliant!

Awesome. At least I’m using Disney for more than The Mandalorian.

Today!

Just finished watching it with the kids.

My 12 year old says "Why am I crying?"
Like she's too tough to cry.

I just shrugged... "Me too"

I watched it with my family and enjoyed it too. What is it about Disney movies and dead parents?

Almost all Disney movies seem to kill off parents. No doubt for me as a kid, that was the most terrifying thought, to loose my parents. It still hurt when I became an orphan late in my life.

Ran out of dogs and deer. I cried when Old Yeller died, and I was scared to death for the kid.

It's not just Disney. It's a child hood fantasy thing.

Harry Potter was an orphan so he was free to do whatever he wanted.
And he seemed to have endless resources and went to a very exclusive school.

Great idea to use Disney+ for something other than The Mandalorian.

Kids and I watched Empire of the Sun the other day to prove that being housebound really is not that tough. I had forgotten that the Dark Knight was in that.

So I just finished the whole thing... One word: Amazing!

It started off a bit slow but once they crossed the draw bridge it really came to life.
Brilliant original story with some of the usual tropes but not in a bad way.

The red smoke effect near the end was breathtaking. I wouldn't even know were to start with an effect like that.

Overall very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Bases on ppot recomendations- family watched it tonight.

Wife was crying-
8 yo daughter was crying-

In the context of father / son relationships ( I mean- hell, I'm restoring a pos garden tractor for my dad....), I held back crying UNTIL the centaur police dude pulled his hat off and his mullet went a flinging....

Then I was crying too- In laughter! Good movie!
