I liked it, the violence continues in the 2nd and third season at a slightly reduced pace.
Haven't seen season 4 yet but i was watching on Netflix.

One of my favorite series ever...Been watching from the beginning. Can't wait for the final half season 6 to come out.

The first 3-4 seaons are great... Not a big fan of the Ivar the boneless arc in 4-6 but it's finished now anyway !
