I had limited contact with someone who might have been exposed. Had myself tested (and stayed at home until the result came back) but the test came back negative. The person I had contact with has a family member that is positive and is now in quarantine.

Do you live in the Houston area? I saw how Houston is posting big numbers in the state for reported cases and hospitalizations.

I was a sick as a parrot to find out one of my close friends/dog walking buddies daughter is sick with covid. HE COULD HAVE TOLD US. Strange thing is (healthy young blonde chick aged about 22 looks 16) she was a bit tired after a long flight back from England and was surprised her jet lag was lasting so long so she got tested. That's all the symptoms she had. Even stranger, her boyfriend tested negative and so did her dad/close friend/dog walking buddy of mine.

My brother in-law and his wife noted above are in Houston. The virus doesn't know what state it is in - its goal is to replicate - when it can it does.

We have family in DFW and Houston, DFW family have already cancelled on our big annual 4th of July family gathering. I’m expecting those from Houston to probably do the same. They are also supposed to be coming to the lake with us in a few weeks too. Dammit.

i got the first invite to this big winery party this 4th of july. i had to do manual labor to get it. i helped clear a few roads that were totally overgrown from a decade of neglect. me and my old boss, a few chainsaws and gallons of premix. my old boss is 66 years old with a bad hip, so i did most of the work.

the party is legendary. i was so looking foward to it. unlabled bottles of wine (i think they call them "shiners"), beer and a roasting pit of meat. my old college friend Gia is a family member and the pro chef running the food. i havent seen her in a looonggg time.

party cancelled!

oh, well. i do not think i have been exposed yet. but every headache i get freaks me out. that allergy sorethroat? hahha.. my wife is helping Covid victims. she is careful, but you never know. the crap side of being a nurse for the communicable disease department i suppose. she isnt bored at work.

My mother had/has it. 72 yrs. old With D2m and heart problems. The assisted living facility she was in rushed her to the hospital when she tested positive although she wasn't showing any symptoms. She was in the Covid ward for a week, was never put on o2, and is now in a "recovery center" for a 14 day quarantine. I swear the woman has 9 lives!

Our level of concern is heightened after one of our friends contracted the virus. She was 48 and in good health. She passed away 8 days after the onset of symptoms. She left twin teen girls and a teenage son.
Insidious.
So young, tragic. Prayers of peace and comfort for all who are feeling her loss. May she RIP.

I know two friends that contracted in. One went to ICU and recovered. One died. Both live in other states than me.

No symptoms. False positive? An antibody test would be interesting.

Did you think you had it? I'm pretty sure I did, antibody test on Tuesday.
