Mother-in-law, at age 94, had it in her nursing home (Michigan) and recovered. Amazing woman, tough as nails like her daughter. She and Keith will be the last humans left.

Nephew, 26, had it, was really sick, but now through it.

Former Boeing co-worker, 80, died from it in April.

Several friends think they had it early on, based on symptoms, but recovered.

It's nasty, it's real, and it's a horrible way to die.

Most definitely. I think that I posted previously that my sister had it who lives in northern Italy, (recovered), also my aunt and 3 cousins in the same family. My Aunt and Uncle live in a nice assisted living complex in a suburb of Minneapolis and likely contracted it there, then passed it on to their children. There son, my cousin, may have caught it because he is a commercial airline pilot and of course travels and stays in hotels overnight w crew.

All have recovered but it's nasty and scary...it takes your lungs away. I just found out that my 93 year old uncle tested positive but did not get sick, (his wife had it for real), she is 85 and has leukemia and beat Covid19.

My uncle died this past week but we don't think from Covid, he has been declining recently anyway and was just very old. We had a family get-together yesterday w his kids and grandkids because we can't have a funeral for a little while due to pandemic. I agonized over going, (classic super spreader situation w kids everywhere), but gave in and because I wanted to see my aunt and cousins so badly. My sister even gave in and attended, (not the one in Italy, the one who is a public heath professional), if we get the virus, this was probably it. Like most people, we've been pretty careful for the whole deal up until this.

Here are some photos from last night, this crowd contains several people who have had the virus 100% for sure:

I know...my cousin who hosted tried to have a *masks required indoors* rule but that didn't really happen. We had the party outside, rain had just stopped. I noticed that the only person w a mask even hanging off her ear in one of those photos is cousin who already had Covid. She got very sick a couple months ago.

I hesitate to say it because I'll jinx myself but my family has amazingly healthy genetics in general. The strapping young guy in white golf shirt and ball cap is my cousin's son who was diagnosed w leukemia 3 years ago and has been getting intense treatment on the east coast, (Johns Hopkins), he is now cancer-free and in school in Boston. It's the only case of non-environmental cancer ever in our family, (not obviously caused by smoking, etc.), until my 85 y.o. aunt was diagnosed w same thing this year, (his grandmother)!

I talked to him a while and he is a great kid and seems completely healthy. Two of his brothers played or are now playing college football, healthy people. Their dad is the pilot who had Covid, ex-Navy helicopter pilot like our Seahawk. I would have thought that maybe he would be wearing a mask because of compromised immune system from chemo but I guess young people just are not scared of this thing at all.
