It kind of looks like that, but seems much more likely that it says "hill driver" Soapbox racers were, either before my time, or maybe just seemed that way since I live anyplace with hills. But I think soapbox racers generally used hills for motivation.

I saw a video online yesterday with a couple of clips from vegans protesting. In one case, they went into a restaurant or diner, I think, in the UK with a bull horn and started yelling something like "not your mother, not your milk" and a bunch of other crap. Some older guy in the place swung at one of them.

Then in another clip a couple approached a couple of big ol' boys fishing that had a freshly caught fish laying next to them. The protestors started talking a bunch of crap. Then asked "how would you feel if we hooked a dog by the mouth and threw him in the water?" Then after a bunch more ridiculous back and forth, they grabbed the fish and threw it back into the water. I was very surprised that the two fishermen didn't throw them in after the fish.

It's not a Soap Box Derby car.... look at the wheels.

It says: "HELL DRIVER'S CLUB". Clearly.

Very nice. What motor was in it?

GH85Carrera 08-21-2020 09:34 AM

Yea, my El Camino came with the factory 14 inch steel wheels with the beauty rings and center caps. 14 inch tires are pretty much extinct except for sizes that don't work for me. I had to go to 15s. I should have bought Cragers. I made the mistake of buying used 15s from a S-10. After spending the time getting them restored and painted I had as much in them than a set of Craggers. The only advantage of the factory wheels is no one steals them.
