The famous Panzer IV/70(A) at the Musée des Blindés in Saumur with a 75 mm projectile stuck in its frontal armor plate.
The only one of its kind remaining, it was knocked out by US Shermans near Vosges or Colmar in France towards the end of 1944. The Panzer IV/70(A) received a number of hits that caused significant damage. The front and side armor plates shattered, and the welds around the impact area cracked open. It was used by Free French forces after it received this damage.

Yea, default in Windows is to hid the file extension. You have to change that to see the extension. PNG is the easiest to just rename and it will upload to Pelican. The PNG will upload just fine, but it will never display. Apple has a HEIC format that is a real pain to convert. The full version of Photoshop 2024 will not open it. It requires me to pay money to a APP to add to my system to open it. Eff that, I refuse to play Apple's game.

If you have an Apple device it has a built in app to export an HEIC photo as a JPG or PNG.

I have my iPhone set to save in JPG. I am not buying a Mac just to convert the rare HEIC image. The add on app for Photoshop is 99 cents. I refuse to buy it on principal. If Apple wants us to adopt a all new format, they best make it free.

I will stick to JPG as it has been around for over 30 years and is part of every OS out there.

Back 100 years to 1923. Many of you are familiar with Lombard Street, known as one of the most crooked streets in San Francisco. Originally a straight cobblestone street with a 27-percent grade, it was modified in 1922 to include multiple switchbacks so automobiles could utilize it more safely at a 16-percent grade. Now over a century later, it’s one of the most popular tourist spots in the city!

For his 1996 ascent, Kropp left Stockholm on 16 October 1995, on a specially-designed bicycle with 108 kilograms (238 lb) of gear and food. He traveled 13,000 kilometres (8,000 mi) on the bicycle and arrived at Everest Base Camp in April 1996. Following a meeting of all of the Everest expeditions on the mountain at the time, it was agreed that Kropp would attempt to summit first. On 3 May, Kropp climbed through thigh-deep snow and reached Everest's South Summit, a point 100 metres (328 ft) from the summit.[5] However, he decided to turn around because it was too late in the day and if he continued, he would be descending in the dark. While Kropp recovered from the ordeal at base camp, the 1996 Everest Disaster unfolded. He helped bring medicine up the mountain. Three weeks later, on 23 May, he again tackled the mountain, this time successfully summitting without extra oxygen support.[6] He then cycled part of the way back home.[7]

He returned to Everest in 1999 with his girlfriend Renata Chlumska to undertake a cleanup, during which they removed 25 discarded canisters from the mountain. They also successfully summited together.

The GIMP is both free and Free and supports heic just fine. Has prebuilt binaries for all the platforms.

That said I havent figured out when/why my phone emails as jpg vs heic, I always send to myself without a subject and pick "medium" for size. Most are Jpg but one out of five or six get sent as heic

Long ago before I had a subscription to Photoshop I tried to use GIMP. I quickly realized it is a different layout, and another program to learn. I have been using Photoshop since the days it was Aldus Photostyler, and Adobe bought it and rolled it into Photoshop.

The iPhone OS defaults to HEIC and there is a setting to change it back to JPG as the default.

On October 26, 1979, angler Ken Fraser set the IGFA All-Tackle World Record for bluefin tuna with this incredible 678.56-kilogram (1,496-pound) fish. Fraser was fishing out of Aulds Cove, Nova Scotia and needed just under an hour to land the massive tuna after it ate the rigged mackerel he was trolling. Fraser's catch is the heaviest tuna ever recorded in the history of the IGFA. Congratulations to Ken Fraser on an incredible catch that continues to stand the test of time!
