Ice flowers in Norway.
It is a natural phenomenon that occurs in the seas of the polar regions. The flowers are formed from water vapor that escapes from cracks in the thin layer of surface ice. When these vapors come into contact with the cold air, they crystallize.

I'm not getting the joke if there is one. Architecture looks like what you see all over Paris, the wrecker is in blue-white-red like the French flag... does this have something to do with the news from a year or two ago that vehicles with IC engines would be banned in Paris at some point?

No joke. It's a random photo of a tow truck with a very short, stubby rear end. (very different from what's usually seen in the US.

It's supposed to be someone that's so clueless that they don't understand why the different letters of compass headings are when they show up on their rear view. But the car appears to be new, so it's not like it was posted by a clueless new owner.

Not what you guys think. Was sitting having a glass of Sancerre when I saw this strange shortened US tow truck with some unidentifiable French car behind it.

Given the number and distribution of churches in the UK it is likely you could list a collection of them in a line to any point of the compass.

Exactly. Pretty much anything that anyone wants to show can be shown if they scale it out far enough, or make the tolerance large enough. And folks do this all of the time.

Welcome to the Internet where anyone can expose their thoughts to the rest of the world whether they should or not!

I drew a line from Iceland to Madagascar, and you should see what happened! The line goes through Ireland, Europe, and a bunch of countries in Africa. Coincidence or something else?!? You decide!

Here's the before and after version of the pic that shows the extent of the power outage from Helene. I wish I could find something similar for Katrina and Rita. We drove through Louisiana and Mississippi after Katrina and before Rita, and the level of darkness along I-10 was like nothing I'd even experienced (before or since).
