Les, it had been a long standing joke between GF and me. She would say "What are you getting me for my birthday?" I'd say "As a special treat I'll buy you a brush AND mop combo for your birthday."

One birthday I did give her the brush and mop combo. Really nice mop, I don't know what all the fuss was about.

Then I took her out to a very expensive place she loves for lunch. The waitress asked me what did I get her for her birthday and I had to be honest so I said a brush and a mop. Woooo, waitress had no sense of humour and yelled at me "Well I hope she hit you over the head with it." and stormed off.

Shows you can't please everybody.

Back story: Her horses had been in her parents barn, so there was a push to get our barn finished. Since it was right around Mother's day and she needed a manure fork, I grabbed one at the hardware store and, for laughs, put a red bow on it and told her it was her mother's day present. In reality, the present was the barn.
That was the better part of 40 years ago, but it comes up from time to time. :D

Barn is hiding behind the trees in the center.

I've ridden across on a ferry from Tarifa to Tangier.

And for many years I'd heard about "the rock of Gibraltar", but nothing prepared me for seeing it.

https://i0.wp.com/designinglife.biz/...-gibraltar.jpg

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734375390.jpg

One of the biggest issues for Gibraltar is fresh water. They don't exactly have a lot of lakes, rivers, or springs. The side that faces the Med is covered in cement/plaster which is used to collect fog, dew, and rain. They also have some desalination facilities, but that's expensive. I think I even remember being told that some water is brought in by boat. Granted, that was a long time ago. Things may have changed since then.

When I raced my ‘69 911 back in the early 90s I could get the inside front wheel up. But only after i installed strut braces front and beefed up the front and rear roll bars. The chassis was too flexible otherwise.
