One of our friends had two Irish Wolfhounds they had in the house. Rule one was never go over there without real shoes. If they step on your foot it is painful. One weighed 200 lbs, the other 210 lbs. Either one could walk up to the kitchen sink with all four feet on the ground, and put their nose into the sink drain. Just giant dogs. I am 6 feet tall, and they could walk up and sniff my mouth with all four feet on the ground. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671048375.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671048375.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671048375.jpg A gold rush town in Deadwood, Dakota, 1876. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671048375.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671048375.jpg |

I just sent ^that^ to my family. That could be my 3yo grandson. He will drop trou to pee anywhere. One day my wife was waiting in the kids' front yard with the 6yo for the morning bus. The 3yo was there too. 30 secs before the bus showed up, the 3yo dropped trou and started peeing in the yard. He was going when the bus pulled up and stopped for the 6yo to get on. The bus driver is an old guy, so I'm sure it didn't phase him a bit. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671052634.jpg ISS transiting the sun http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671052634.JPG painted churches of Texas. Early settlers (mostly Czech in this area, also some German) wanted to replicate the churches from back in Europe, but didn't have the budget to do it, so they painted the churches. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671052634.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671052634.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671052634.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671052634.JPG |

Ha ha, reminds me of when I taught my 6 year old grandson to pee outdoors. Then I got a call from the principal at his school, oops |

Many of us who raised boys probably have similar stories. Here's mine... When our boys were young, we were in the habit of taking in Myrtle Beach in the off seasons when the rates were lower. We could stay in ocean front motels on the Soutn end of Ocean Blvd. for relatively cheap... going for 4 or 5 nights before Memorial Day plus again after Labor Day for what a week in the summer would've cost. This one time when our youngest was 3, we had just come back from walking next door for a hot breakfast in this nice hotel's 10th floor ocean front restaurant. It was chilly and we wore windbreakers over our swimsuits. We came back to the room, grabbed towels and jumped in the heated pool... which was also oceanfront. Felt so good. We were the only ones in. The 3 year old was in the kiddie pool which was only separated from the full sized pool by a few horizontal stainless bars. He called to his mom and she swam over to see what he wanted. "I have to pee," he whispered. We had always stressed to them not pee in the pool, but when she considered getting out with him with the chilly wind blowing, drying off a bit, and running around the side of the hotel to the breezeway that led to the exterior elevator, she relented. She whispered back, "it's okay, Joel... you can pee in the pool," and then she swam back over to me and told me. The next thing we knew, he had gotten out and was standing with his little toes curled over the edge of the "big pool" with his red swimsuit pushed down mid-thigh and had a decent stream launched out about 3 feet. His knees and his entire body was quivering from the cold. My wife, whispering loudly, "JOEL! What are you doing???" "I'm lettin' it fly, Mom." Her dad had taught and always allowed him to pee in the hedge around his back yard when they were out there hanging out... and had apparently encouraged him by yelling, "Let it fly, Joel!" She glanced up to see if anyone saw it, and there was an older couple standing on their balcony a few floors up laughing. Of course she was horrified, but she was glad it was no big deal to them. I think this might've been where we were staying... we did stay there a few times. Not our boys in the pic. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1671089801.jpg |
