Involved in one of humanity's ****tiest developments, yet always rolling with life, a constant, irrepressible flirt.

Always joking, always having fun. A self-contained human being.

Shook his hand once, still not sure whether to hate him for his seeming lack of regret or introspection or to admire him, notwithstanding the whole Nobel thing.

Shades of Einstein without any apparent philosophy.

On the broad topic of physicists with personality, I think I'd actually rather hang with Neil or, better yet - a Feynman acolyte, Lawrence Krauss

.. I believe that Richard Feynman is either a Communist or very strongly pro-Communist—and as such is a very definite security risk. This man is, in my opinion, an extremely complex and dangerous person, a very dangerous person to have in a position of public trust ... In matters of intrigue Richard Feynman is, I believe immensely clever—indeed a genius—and he is, I further believe, completely ruthless, unhampered by morals, ethics, or religion—and will stop at absolutely nothing to achieve his ends.

Guy comes up to a man driving a van. "You know those are Feynman Diagrams on your van"

Driver says, "I Know, I'm Richard Feynman"

well I read Feynman's book, and although clearly the man was extremely intelligent and entertaining in many ways.

The book had several stories about how he cracked fun with certain situations.
Often involving people serving (Waiters, or hotel employees or whatever).. And he'd then find a way to have fun with some of their deficiencies or character flaws. Working people already stressed and overworked.. he'de prank em ..

I don't get it.. if you are that smart.. why play games at the expense of people who aren't... It's not bullying, but those at the other end can call you a dick for it.. and they'd be right.

Sure he usually was the smartest man in the room , but he didn't have to rub it at the expensive the regular unsuspecting people in it, in that he was.

Some other reports see him playing games to get laid.. like posing as an undergrad to get in the panties of female student. Again.. using his intellect to manipulate things in his favor. Was a bit creepy in it, he documented all his tricks to pick up women in bars and what not..

For all his intellect, he was deeply flawed.

Saw the piece on Ron Jeremy- really sad actually...... the guy is 73, old broken down and multiple incidents of forced rape, molestation. More than a few under 18. How about that for a man's legacy.
