I found that with multi tools I was using the knife and screwdriver 90% of the time.

It also has a bottle opener.

Dang it I just checked and that is already in my Amazon cart...

I carry a stainless pocket pen knife. It is small and lets me take care of my fingernails and opening boxes etc.

That and cheesecake, one never knows when someone might have cheesecake and no knife.

Have had a knife in my pocket for all of my adult life

I don’t carry a knife, but always pack a spoon, just in case. Just in case I encounter ice cream.

I don't carry anything resembling a weapon, but I do have various tools in my car. Who knows when the big quake hits and I am left to my own devises for a few days or more. I am old and weak now, so my tools attempt to level the field. No guarantee's for sure, likely I will still lose.

I get my Jeep washed every couple weeks at the local car wash, they hand me an air freshener bound in tough plastic, the survival knife under my passenger seat makes it easy to put into play. The other tools in my car are more of a reach out variety.

Here we go. Next up is a flashlight thread. And with not much to do, online shopping for knives and lights is a good pastime...I actually just bought a butterfly knife from Kershaw. (I'm Filipino...)

I use mine for a lot, but mainly to pry the bullets out of snitches so I don’t leave any evidence.

In all seriousness , I use it so often I feel naked without it. Like Vash mine gets washed very often.

All the trainees' respond: "To kill, Drill Sargeant!" Can't believe nobody else remembers that from basic training. I know there's a bunch of old guys on this board.

for the same reason i used to ride a motorcycle. it wasn’t for transportation, it was because i really like motorcycles

i carry either a slip joint by great eastern cutlery for daily cutting tasks or if i feel i may need a weapon i carry my spyderco paramilitary 2. ide hate to depend on a knife for self defense but it’s all i got

but really i’ve just always loved knives. i collect them

I have carried a knife for so long I can't imagine not having one with me. It is not a weapon, but a handy tool, much like my cell phone. I resisted cell phones as expensive toys, and smart phones just as much. But once I drank that kool-aid I was hooked. I can't imagine how I survived without my smart phone for most of my life. It is my brain extension.
