I figure that I have about 6 to 8 months supply of small pistol primers, small rifle primers and large pistol primers on hand. I haven't been loading any 45 ACP or 44 S&W or 44 Magnum but am planning on doing so to take some pressure off the small primer supply. Like most other folks, I have a decent supply of "good stuff" for serious social encounters but, of course, don't want to get into that. Looks like my next step reloading will be some mid range 44 S&W rounds to use in a Ruger Redhawk at the every other month steel plate matches. I think that a 180 grain cast bullet at about 700 fps should do the job and shoot comfortably in the heavy Redhawk. We'll see how that goes! One of the calibers that seem to be in good supply around here is the 10mm. Might have to see about a pistol in that chambering!
