Richard Stine has been a favorite artist of mine for many years. I bought my first piece from him when he was exhibiting his work at an art fair on Union St in SF. I bought the print pictured below and he asked me if I'd like it framed- I said yes. He cut his finger a little bit and there was some blood on the back. I asked him if he could sign it, and he said yes.

I think he's 84 years old now, so I've been trying to reach him to say hi and hope he's doing well. So far, no luck. I'm hoping he's okay. I found an Instagram link he has and downloaded some of the images. I love his whimsical sense of humor and vision. Not much of his older work here, but a lot of stuff I haven't seen before.
