time to get a Leather Jacket.

i want one.

non-motorcycle type. the last one i did own, it was a motorcycle jacket. from Vanson. loved that jacket, but i want a regular street wearing jacket.

in my mind, i think i want an updated "bomber" type. i dont want to look like an extra in "Bah Bah Black Sheep". but i think they (Bomber type)have the right jacket profile. something roomy so i can wear a hoodie underneath on occasion.

ideas? i do think i should find one in a store so i can try it on.

I always liked the jacket HM Murdock wore.

I received an analog paper catalog in the mail that had men's wear. On the cover was a nice looking leather jacket so I looked at that page. I promptly dropped it in the recycle bin when I saw the price was $2,500+ shipping and taxes.

You can get an A2 for $70-$700. The goat skin A2 is supple.

I had these guys custom tailor a jacket for me and I absolutely love everything about it....you can view their various styles online, a lot of their collection is based on films (james bond and indiana jones)....but they have other stuff too....and then you can tell them how you like a jacket to fit...very snug, very loose, whatever.

The costs, I thought were reasonable, the quality is fantastic....you can choose colors, request samples, you name it.

Not sure if their styles (mostly all motorcycle) work for you but Langlitz is supposed to be about the best there is. A small, local outfit. Big waitlist last I knew. They have a crazy cult following.

I recently bought one. It's like a bomber jacket but lightweight leather, more slim fitting and has a short stubby collar..

Evren gifted me a very nice supple leather jacket...goatskin? Maybe sheep? Beautiful, with satin lining? Sleeves were to short, so I passed it on to my honorary nephew. He loved it. I'd have probably just left it hanging in a closet.

For nasty Oregon weather, I'm thinking my Filson Cruiser probably works better anyway..

Overland has nice stuff. Don't know where you are but there is a location in Napa or you could order online.

Taylor Stitch has a moto jacket that has caught my eye, but it's way more than I would spend on one item of clothing.

Leather jacket? >>> There is only one I would consider.

"US Army issue Leather Jacket"... And it's just been re-approved for US Army dress.

$1,100 or so is not a bad price for the Moto jacket.
