Deebo is dead
COVID got him.
Dude was doing 5 or 6 movies a year! One of those unsung character actors who took his typecasting and played it everywhere he could. |
oh no. terrible
i liked that guy as the president in Fifth Element. |
How frikin sad... Something really unfortunate: Black Americans suffer the worst from this dreadful virus.
RIP Tommy "Tiny" Lister. Also the coolest on screen President ever! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1607712991.jpg |
They lack Neaderthal DNA/ immune system. This is when it's great to be descended from cavemen.

That is a shame, he just did a spot for the 49ers I saw on Monday night Football this week.

Or is that just the default COD now? |

I know nothing about this particular case but if he tested positive for Covid-19 and/or was exhibiting symptoms of the disease, it would be a pretty good bet right now. This outbreak is off the charts.
|
Jeebus are you people annoying.
"Deebo died." "How?" Heart attack? Stroke? Drug overdose? Car accident? Fell from a tree? Homicide? Suicide? Diabetes? Meteor strike? No, he was healthy, then he was freaking sick, exhibiting COVID symptoms, and died suddenly. You want to know who does that? COVID patients. Get over yourselves, this isn't a race to the bottom of the cesspool, it's just a statement that some otherwise healthy well known dude died suddenly from something not normal. |
OK Mike but I'd bet he also had a comorbidity or two.
What bugs me the most about this thing: It's 2020, No one should be dying from a friggin virus. It's about 1 Billionth of our size and yet it can wreck us from the inside? |

You just couldn't wait to post "Covid got him" could you? Facts be damned! Quote:
A. No official COD has been determined. B. He had already contracted Covid earlier this year (+/- 5 months ago) and had long-since recovered from it. C. He had pre-existing health issues, including type-2 diabetes. D. It was initially thought to be a heart attack. But yeah, WE are the ones who should get over ourselves... |

that's the thing, some people have long term affects that they never really "recover" from completely. not all are a death sentence right away, but many cases will lead to a premature death. this is not completely understood, but as noted above african americans seem to be more vulnerable to the initial virus affects and have greater chance of long term health issues.. |

My first reply was 3.5 hours after you posted the thread. Not only were all of the articles I referenced published well before that, but they were also published before you even posted this thread (some of which were from the day before). Not all the same ones I initially found, but here are a few: tommy-tiny-lister-who-played-deebo-friday-dies-62 tommy-lister-friday-dead Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister, who played Deebo in ‘Friday,’ dies tiny-lister-longtime-character-actor-dead-at-62 Tommy-Tiny-Lister-dead-at-62-heart-attack-Deebo-Friday friday-star-tommy-deebo-lister-dead-at-62 Wait, here's one I just found that was published 6 minutes after your thread post, if that makes you feel any better: tommy-tiny-lister-died And again, NO article that I've found said "COVID got him" at any point, or that it was even the suspected/probable COD. They all simply said he was "experiencing Covid-like symptoms" prior to his death. The problem is that there are a ton of different things with similar symptoms out there. But, if you wield the Covid hammer of fear, everything looks like a nail. You could've posted a less definitive statement, based on the facts at hand, but you chose not to. Quote:
And then ironically followed up with "you people are annoying" and "get over yourselves" retorts. So yeah, back at ya... But, if you can reference any initial articles that erroneously reported he died from Covid, I'll concede the point. ;) |

It's not like the guy died in an ICU on a vent after testing positive. In fact, he'd already contracted CV several months prior, had long-since recovered, and was feeling great prior to the onset of whatever eventually took him down. Quote:
The waters are further muddied by the lack of distinction between dying FROM CV and dying WITH CV, and "probable" vs. "confirmed" COD. So let's maybe not jump the gun with a definitive Covid diagnosis every time someone kicks off unexpectedly. Crazy talk, I know... |
For something supposedly so scary, it’s funny how hard some are working to convince us to be terrified.
|
What's "funny" is how many try to down play the severity of something that's responsible for 1.6 million deaths in a year--mocking people doing what they can to limit its spread but complaining all the while. Also remarkable is that these same people draw a straight line between suicides and Covid but fail to connect the dots between a virus and morbidity/mortality. "Funny" indeed.

What else you got? Self righteous isn’t very scary. Too bad I can interpret data and charts.

We have COVID deniers, who see their job as proving no Covid deaths were due to Covid
Same group has difficulty with elections, as well |

Matt, we get it. You see yourself as omniscient. Not sure why you bother with those that do the things you're writing about but that seems to be part of your affliction. Good luck to you in your keyboard quests. Now, kindly piss off.

Maybe try reading the thread this time, and try again. Or, just remain in the group of low-info types that relies on (and never reads past) the sensationalist/fear-mongering headlines, and then are compelled to knee-jerk regurgitations. ;) |

I assume that you can comprehend the law of unintended consequences and "connect the dots" between Covid and increased instances of depression, suicide, homicide, homicide/suicide, alcoholism, drug overdoses, excess deaths/illness of those too afraid to go to the hospital, and all other effects of prolonged impediments to societal interaction, etc. Just as you should assume that others can comprehend the seriousness of this illness, and the various complications and variables that can magnify its severity/lethality. The difference is that the policies and non-factual fear-mongering that contributed to the former, still hasn't/won't prevent the latter. |
Stop quoting the vibrating massager.

You seem to have a burr up your ass about Covid. |

The fact is the numbers in the media conflate everything together for scary headlines. Trying to get an accurate breakdown of non covid deaths or no-comorbidities death, or "was gonna die within a week anyway and covid just sped it up" deaths. Impossible. Apparently in nobody's interest - you might be less scared.. I work at a really big university/hospital group, and I see internal numbers or ICU, testing, deaths. Granted I don't do regression analysis on those, I just read them weekly, but I have not seen anyone at our locations dying of Covid that wasn't in seriously bad shape before. I'm sure there are... I'm just saying it's very difficult to get accurate properly broken down data, and fear mongering seems to be in the best interest of some groups for sure. Our doctors are no longer scared of Covid, they know how to keep you alive now - they are scared because many people don't come in to treat their heart and cancer (etc) conditions right now for fear of covid, and presumably there will be more deaths from that, and in turn these could be attributed to Covid if they happen to catch it on top of not treating their progressing cancers or whatever. Catch 22. Fear mongering wins. Now I'm not sure if fear mongering is being done to make $ for pharmaceutical groups or because the general population is so stupid they would not even wash hand otherwise. Both probably. |
Don't know if these have been mentioned, but here are a couple of fun facts I just heard about today.....
World Coronavirus Deaths Pass One Million, U.S. Accounts for 20 Percent The U.S. has 4% of the world's population but 25% of the world's COVID-19 cases. https://www.ecowatch.com/world-coronavirus-deaths-2647853344.html?rebelltitem=1#rebelltitem1 https://www.logically.ai/factchecks/library/5e3a4ade |

I usually am asking someone to show us where in the heck they pulled some fact or figure from. Burr up my ass? Are you sure you're thinking of me and not someone else? Because, as far as you can tell, you don't know the first thing about me and how I feel about it, since I don't talk about it. |
Damn guys. And we’re kinda make believe friends! Imagine if we were make believer enemies ?
I thought we would just celebrate an actors life and move ion. That guy found a unique niche for his career. RIP. |
