Sorry for your loss Vinman , had similar situation two months ago. Take solice in the fact your buddy is no longer in pain . Remember all the good times it will help you get through this.

I am sorry to hear of your loss Vinman. I have been in your shoes many times, and every one of those times sucked. Our pets are such a large presence in our lives. They are truly family members. A dog is a special friend, loyal, loving, and playful. That combo is hard to find. Who else greets you at the door with a goofy smile and a wagging tail. They are a gift to mankind. Syd was a gift to you. You nourished that gift with love and received the same from him. He was your loyal buddy. RIP Syd

Sorry for your loss Vinman, our animal family often times means more to us than people family. They are not judgmental and love for real. Just think of the tail wags and sloppy wet licks you will get when you see him again.

Thank you for all the kind words. Needed it. I'm taking this really bad.
Syd is safe, back at home with us today. We picked up his ashes, and his paw prints. We still have our other two doggies, but the house is beyond empty without him. It's gonna take a long time.....

Very sorry for your loss, Vinman. We have a six month old rescue puppy which is a red heeler mix. She is stubborn, naughty, loving and very smart. Already not looking forward to losing her one day.
