Quite the variety in this design vein, kind of like researching 5-spoke wheels, not all created equal.

By the way

OZ was very big in F1 in the 70's and/or 80's. They supplied most of the grid I believe
and at one time I had a set of their black with yellow trim wheels just like McLaren I think .

Actually I have a set of OZ wheels in my basement, right now, 4 bolt pattern, that I can't seem to give away. New or close to it.

Wheels should be strong, light, and easy to clean.

As someone who had many cars with BBS waffle style wheels, I agree. God those were hard to keep clean..

That's what I was thinking of thanks. I almost bought a set for my 928 but they were too big.

3 piece BBS with a wheel fan, same as on the 956 as shown above. The OZ wheels are one piece forgings.

If you have your heart set on flush aerodynamic covers the guys over at Ecomodder dot com zip tie pizza pans (and or coroplast) to their wheels.

Just mentioning because you can test fit (mock-up) this look to any car before pulling the trigger, and it's real life 3D unlike Photoshop.

What distinguishes the OZ wheels in the opening post is they have a lot of character to them, tectonic but not too futuristic.

The crisp edges help.

The older wheels of this style look like claw-foot bathtubs by comparison.
