Red.

Same dilemma as my 930: is it blue, or is it grey?

The name of the color is that just, a name.

Which helps to explain why my Carousel Red GTO is exactly the same color as my buddy's Hugger Orange Camaro.

Hate to admit that Chevy got it right and Pontiac got it wrong, but there's no way that Goat ain't orange!

Poppy Red. I owned one of these, wasn't a GT, but was a K Code.

Definitely orange.

A bridge that picks up on it's surroundings is a beautiful thing.

58. An ad agency picked the colors for the bridge. The company, which was working for a client who was supplying engines and equipment used to build the bridge, featured the bridge in an advertisement, according to the St. Ignace News. At the time, colors hadn't been selected for the bridge, so the company chose ivory for the towers and foliage green trusses. Bridge Authority members and engineers saw the advertisement and liked it, so they kept the color scheme.

Nice color in full sun, but would tend to look like black on foggy days I would think.

Both are cool, and that shade of orange in Michigan would make for some great fall color pictures.

The other large suspension bridge in state was in black paint for far too long, God was it ugly then.

Much better now.

I remember Herb Caen commenting a long time ago about the Golden Gate Bridge getting primered in silver when getting repainted, and the Bay Bridge getting primered in orange when it was getting repainted. I think parts of each bridge was almost always being repainted as part of their maintenance.

On the Golden Gate Bridge website it says:

The color dubbed “International Orange” existed before the Bridge (and still exists) and is a color used in the aerospace industry to set things apart from their surroundings, similar to safety orange, but deeper and with a more reddish tone. You can see this, the “other” International Orange color here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_orange. The Golden Gate Bridge is painted Golden Gate Bridge International Orange which was selected by Consulting Architect Irving F. Morrow.

Phoenix Red is not red either.

They are constantly painting the GG Bridge. Go from one end to the other the start over
