I thought that his excuse for missing such a simple clue was pretty weak.
Ironically, I suspected that Ken had also taken a dive at the end of his 74 game run when he also missed a rather simple clue…and looked a bit sheepish after doing so. I was thinking that ratings might’ve dipped as viewers tired of seeing Jennings keep winning day after day, so he was asked to graciously bow out. |

^^^ Might be.
I do think that the winnings are sort of skimpy...esp if the contestant is 'well to do' in life.

Oh and possibly we saw a clicker problem! The lady on the right was clearly trying to push the button, nobody else buzzed in and the question timed out. My wife says maybe she was just wanting to push it but didn't have the answer but a second later she appeared to be inspecting the buzzer.
Hmmm.....

I didn't watch it...but she prob buzzed in too soon. If buzzing in before Ken finishes the clue...you are locked out for a period of seconds.

But not for the entire remaining time right? Nobody else buzzed in.

^^^ I don't know....I think it's for only 2 or 3 seconds after he ends the clue.
But 2 or 3 seconds is about all the time there is before he gives the answer....it's fast.

Thinking more about it.....that's likely why she couldn't buzz in. After the early buzz, she wasn't able to get called until one of the others had a chance. Just my guess. .

Ahhh so it may be an early buzz means you’re out until someone else buzzes in. If they don’t then you missed it. That would make more sense I think.

He does....and he is one smart dude.
I wonder if some do that to keep the others confused on the category choice.

that girl blew it on the double jeopardy bet. Not sure she'd have won regardless but seemed like a bad bet.

Any of the three could have won....very close match.
The first double jep that Harrison lost almost doomed him. The one that 'what two great lakes are split by the Mackinac Bridge?". I was shouting the answer to him...didn't help. It helps to live in Michigan for that one though.

yep we were shouting on the Hokie question. You think 'how on earth can they not know that?' but then they would go hoarse yelling at the tv if I was on the show.

I thought same thing…maybe going so fast to stymie the others. Worked on me…I have trouble understanding half of what he says. We talk a little slower down south. How any of those people come up with the answer so fast is way beyond me.
