Only 3 so far older than me.

yellowperil 03-22-2021 09:25 AM

I got my start in 10/10/47 and my daily driver is older than y'all, I'll bet. (up here, where I live, people are more apt to say "youse fellas"
but y'all sounds better.)

I was born one day before the music died.

If covid has any silver lining, it was that I realized that for the price of one haircut and a decent tip, I could have my own wahl clippers and get after it. My haircut isn't going to get me a job modeling shampoo, but at my age, no f's given.

79 in May! Having cataract surgery next month. What's the old saying "If I knew I was going to live this long, woulda taken better care of the body"!

I'm leery of posting here for fear of being told to get off your lawn at my childlike age of 53.

Y'all make me feel better about having many many more years of enjoying my Porsche hobby.

Hitting 58 shortly.
Body feels like 80 some days.

wdfifteen 03-22-2021 11:39 AM

Age should be measured by levels, not by years. "Achieving level 71" sounds a lot cooler than "turning 71."

That's FL for ya. If it's in your blood, then you can be young forever.

I'm only 50. I mostly still feel like a kid. I look relatively young, most folks don't believe I'm 50. I wear glasses now which every once in a while makes me think "I am aging. Crap!"

Some friends have a little boy that is now 5 1/2. He is proud of the 1/2 and will correct you if you say he is 5.

Somehow the 1/2 year bit is not mentioned much past age 9 or 10.

I got carded recently and laughed. No problem proving I am over 21. The first 21 years took a long time. The second 21 years was much faster and the third 21 years seems like just a few months ago. Heck I have shoes that are 30+ years old. Lots of t-shirts from the last millennium and those are all over 21.

Think about it, someone born in January of 2000 is 21 years old now!

I still feel like a long haired 25 year old kid playing guitar in a rock band. Glad to see we are close in age and usually of similar viewpoint

Ir kicks in again when you hit about 65 - at least for me.
"How old are you?"
"70 and a half."

pete3799 03-22-2021 12:37 PM

67 and 4/12's

craigster59 03-22-2021 01:06 PM

I was born in Honolulu 5 days after Hawaii became our 50th state.

I’ll let the old fogeys figure out my age, they could use the mental exercise. :)

Youre the same age as my parents.

Heard a Confucius saying the other day: “We all have two lives... the second begins when you realize you only have one.”
It is good to see so many of you still getting after it in your 70s.

I was born one day after Jackson Pollok died.

My shop benches look like his paintings. Just sayin'. You never know.
