Then kid got a bill for a ton of overseas long-distance phone charges (using his number) from the Chicago area.
I can only guess it happened at a gas station.

I’ve actually been looking at these and and Faraday fabric but for different reasons than privacy concerns. I have an AFR module in the engine bay of my SC which connects via Bluetooth to my phone. It’s pretty slick until you actually turn on the engine. Connectivity becomes intermittent. The unit is mounted right next to my MSD box on the side wall. I’m thinking the EMI from the MSD is messing up the Bluetooth connection. Instead of rewiring the whole thing, I was thinking of trying to block the EMI of the MSD. Too crazy?

CC company covers all the fraud cases. Expecting privacy when using a mobile phone is practically an oxymoron.
