Damnit Shaun. I’ve been drooling over a Henson for a while, now reading that it really is as good as they say, I may have to upgrade my old Edwin jaeger that I’ve been using for 8 years.

I ordered one (it’s Canadian so why not), will give it a try as I am tired of plastic razors.

Heavy brass handle that fits basic track II blades and a shaving mug.

I got a PM asking if I still liked this razor and any thoughts on it.

My reply was that I've been using it for a long time now (about a year it turns out) and like it as much as I did when I started the thread. I like that it's so light more than anything. My older chrome safety is very heavy, which I liked, but only until using the Henson. I would recommend getting one.

If anyone else got one when I posted, please post your experience and impression.

I use a stihl 170 with non ethanol gas and summer bar oil.

I've been pondering a Henson for a bit. Their ads caught my attention.

I shave my face, sometimes with 4-5 days of growth. I also shave my head. I use a Schick quattro which can easily clog if I wait to long to shave. I can shave with the quattro fat and at any angle without drawing blood. It seems like the Henson might be the best safety razor for my shaving style.

Itt sounds like folds are happy with the Henson, and there is a return policy.
My question is do you guys have the regular or the "medium"?
The regular seems like the less likely to draw blood, but the medium is supposed to be better for thicker/heavier hair (which would be me since I shave with several days off growth).

Anyone have any new news on their Henson or thoughts/comments about either model?

There are a lot of bad reviews on these blades but the ones I got a while are extremely sharp and very comfortable.

How slow, careful, and deliberate do you have to be to not cut yourself with the Henson?
How likely are you to cut yourself with the Henson?
How likely is the Henson to clog with hair?

Do you have the regular Henson or the "M" version?

At 66, I’m fair haired, light skinned and little body hair. Although, in the last couple of years, my facial hair is coming out a little quicker. I couldn’t grow a decent mustache or beard if I tried. 😂

I use a disposable razor with soap every couple of days.

I have the AL13. I'm not careful at all and never cut myself Steve. I rinse after every stroke, always have, every razor, never noticed clogging.
