Lots of stupid people out there.

I don't understand arguing with cops.

I don't understand the "sovereign citizen" folks (haven't they seen the videos? That never works out for them).

I don't understand the folks that get into road rage situations with others.

I've taken to using in cab hand signals to relay to other drivers my thoughts.

Yesterday we were visiting friends who were in the US for the holidays, and he mentioned how relaxing and easy it is to drive here. You need to go 200km, and you can do it in under two hours, rathter than, say, five or six. They live in Lilongwe, Malawi, she is American, he grew up in Malawi. Having visited them there and driven throughout the country myself, I can confirm. I enjoyed it, but that's because I don't have to do it every day. Even with all the crap mentioned in other posts, I appreciate how easy it is to drive here.

Those videos have been showing up in my YouTube feed and I have watched a bunch and boy the stuff people believe...

I think it is a matter of social media algorithms showing people more and more of the same thing that they have been looking at, so those sovereign folks keeping getting shown so much of it that they really believe in it.

I had something like that happen in San Fransisco. Couple jerks in a flashy BMW weaved through traffic and cut me off. I let them in first time. Then they made the wrong lane choice and got stuck behind me when I asserted my lane rights. No second chances bub.

They upped the anti and again made a seriously stupid pass. I had to brake hard. I knew that neighborhood. Thought about a race to teach them a lesson but the brain voted against that. BMW stopped in front of me. Driver got out and walked back leaving his door wide open. Saudi-looking young buck with gold chains. He said "I could kill you for that in my country". I said nothing and just looked at him. I was at a level 7-8 and rising. He walked back and drove away.

I kept it in gear. If there was any weapon or if multiples emerged, someone was going to get run over as a start.

Not that I would every in a million years do it or recommend someone else do it, but that guy needs to try that to the kind of knucklehead that would jump out, put a spoon in his face, and yell "well, we ain't in your country !"

Like I said, I'd never do it or recommend it, but it would be great for some knucklehead that thinks he's the shizzle to discover that he's not.

THis is one of my favorites. It's the three stooges version of the situation that I describe above. (sorry, gotta fast forward past the first 10 secs)

When the driver gets out, I swear the little road rager's eyes double in size like he is in a cartoon.
