WTF is wrong with people. I don't understand that reaction.

I guess the initial reaction was one that I've seen before. Some folks seem to think that insulting other people will cow them and make them back down. I guess that was her initial reaction. "maybe if I'm a mean beyotch, it'll scare this guy and make him leave me alone." I have seen that sort of behavior, but I'd recommend against using that on police.

Then she used every "trick" in the book "I'm afraid of you right now," "I've got a disability," "I didn't hear you," "I was crying," etc....

"I'd rather be in Russia or a third world country..." I'd love to see her try that crap in one of those other places.

Lots of folks have never learned the old adage about catching more flies with honey. Or at least not going to jail with honey.

Doesn't come close to excusing the shooting - but wonder if the SUV was brake checking the guys towing the boat.

Brake checking with your kids in the car, genius, if that's what happened. If that was the case hopefully, the mom and dad have learned a lesson. I'm hoping that the two dirtbags go to prison and get married.

People are fools when they get behind the wheel. My favorite pet peeve is when you see someone off on the shoulder and then to get back on the freeway they just pull, from a stop, right into the "slow" lane instead of using the shoulder to get up to speed and then merge into the "slow" lane. These asshats cause a lot of accidents because they can't judge traffic speed and feel it is just fine to pull into a freeway lane from a stop.

Yep, and they accelerate like they are on a Sun drive. Many folks are afraid to floor the gas and hear the motor rev to redline. Near my home the freeway has a 75mph speed limit and the normal speed is 80-85mph. It's shocking how many folks "merge" at 45-60mph onto an Interstate (I10) with traffic going 80+mph.

Yesterday, I learned that activated hazard flashers on a milk truck indicates that shortly, they will be making irresponsible and illegal (yet routine for them) maneuvers in order to begin backing into a farm. This despite a large half circle of driveway intended to negate the need for this very sort of BS.

The key, IMO, is to NOT engage. Too many folks can't/won't stand down. "But they disrespected me."

I'm hoping this guy broke his hand. I actually know someone that did the same basic thing, punched a driver's side window multiple times. (some teens drove really obnoxiously to the guy with his new baby in the car). It resulted in him breaking one of the bones in his hand, presumably on one of the punches and then punched again which caused the broken bone to pierce the skin on the back of his hand (small puncture wound). So he ended up scaring the crap out of the kids, but also ended up with a compound fracture of his hand (and he worked in IT so did a lot of typing for a living).
