The Camaro driver is obviously 100% at fault here.
That said - the ladder pickup could, and probably should, have sped up and moved over to let the Camaro by. In essence it looked like he was blocking the Camaro on purpose. Also, the semi-truck could have also slowed to let the Camaro through, even though it wasn't his "responsibility" to do so. Those two were not responsible - it's on the Camaro driver 100%. <iframe width="953" height="536" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pA7BASFqXIw" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
2 douchbags. Ladder truck is partially at fault for NOT PASSING the semi or moving over. He's not a traffic cop; it's not his job to keep people from speeding.
Camaro should have dropped back and passed semi on right shoulder if he couldn't wait; it appears wide enough that he wouldn't have dropped a wheel. |

I once saw what looked like a soccer mom and an old dude going for a DB award. They were 1 and 2 at a 4 lane divided rd traffic light. Light turns, and both toodle along at roughly the same speed. The problem is that a couple/few hundred feet from the light, the two southbound lanes turn into one (right lane has to merge to the left). Soccer mom can't/doesn't get in front of the guy, so they end up sharing the lane. The crazy thing is that there's no shoulder to speak of and no middle lane. So for a while, she's got her right hand tires in the grass and he's got his left hand tires in the oncoming lane. I was flabbergasted. She's got kids, and he's old enough to know better (and she should be). I was once turning right in the left lane where there are 2 right turn lanes. Soccermom in her Expedition, turns from the rightmost turn lane, but as she pulls through the corner, turns into the left turn lane (the one that I'm in) as I'm along side. I was lucky that there was a wide, paved median for me to use. I dropped back and then in behind her. I was just hanging, but then saw a gap, so thought I'd go around. As I came past her, she gunned it, so I dropped back again. Then she pulled the same move as the work truck in the video above. She shadowed a car in the other lane. I stayed behind here and didn't tailgate. A mile or two down the road at the next light, she pulled into the left turn lane while I was going straight. She rolled her passenger's side window down and screamed out the window at me. I couldn't hear what she was saying. I did find it amusing that she'd run me off the road (I suspect on accident) and probably had no clue. To go along with that story. In Florida, if you turn onto a road with 2 or more lanes going the direction that you are going, then you must turn into the nearest lane to where you came from. I was shocked when I learned that in Texas, if you turn onto a road with multiple lanes, you can turn into any one of those lanes that you want. I suspect the chick in my second story above, was using that rule without realizing that there were 2 turn lanes (probably hadn't looked at the sign). Years later in a different car but within 1/2 mile of that incident, I had a young girl do the same, me in outside turn lane, girl in inside turn lane, she clipped my front fender. I took video of the intersection showing 2 turn lanes and sent it to my insurance. And double turn lanes like that are NOT rare around here. It's actually very common, so I'm always surprised when someone screws it up. |
It's easy to get flustered while co-existing with the general populace - but I always remind myself that there's nothing the other driver(s) can do to take me out of my "common sense" mode.
Meaning - leave the ego in your back pocket where it belongs. Drive like the adult in the room. It doesn't hurt to select certain times of the day to do your errands when there's less traffic. I do that all the time when picking up provisions or materials. Less traffic in the stores as well. |
that happens daily on our fwys especially on the 5 between SF and LA. They tailgate a big truck and bully their way in jsut to get ahead of a few cars. The other problems is the 55 truck limit on these two lane hwys. All cars are flying by at 85 but the trucks are crawling at 55, with those who are at the speed limit holding up everyone else because they are just crawling by at 65 with trucks at 55-60. What a mess. Camaro driver is an idiot. I hope he pay dearly and charge with reckless driving.

This is instant karma. It likely sucked for the truck driver that day. The driver and passenger of the car were OK and walked away. |
None of you could see the shadow of the car in front of the PU holding up the lane?

I think the ladder guy even brake checked the Camaro once..... |
My business partner broke up with one chick he really liked, because when she was driving on the highway she really believed she had total right to stay in the left lane and drive the speed limit. She even said no one should have to go faster than her. He told her she was a *ucking idiot and broke up with her on the spot.
On my many road trips I often come across the left lane bandit that has no intention of letting anyone pass them. They will drive one MPH over the limit at most until they get to a point when the right lane is clear, then speed way up to prevent anyone passing, and slow down once they come to the next truck. Back when I was commuting daily I was headed home and a Honda "boy racer" with huge spoiler front and a giant wing on the back was right on my bumper. I was changing lanes to go to the interstate exchange on the right. I could easily see a huge tire tread in that lane, so I waited until I was past the tread to change lanes. The idiot tailgater figured he would jump over into the exit lane and drive on the yellow stripped shoulder before the exit lane to beat me to the exit. He was committed to that lane and then saw the tire tread, and it destroyed his front end. I just smiled, and took my exit as planned. If he had been at a safe distance behind me, and not tailgating he could have seen the tire tread and avoided it. It was much like the ladder video above. |
I honestly read the title as Driving head.

true story.
my blood still boils thinking about it. night work. a lady riding a motocycle gets tired of the traffic jam, and slips between the traffic cones and enjoys unhindered traffic of a closed traffic lane. right until she gets to the work zone where she nose dives her motorcycle into wet concrete. she jumps up and berates everyone. she was drunk. everyone smelled it. she started yelling about how she is suing everyone. the construction guys use a backhoe and pluck her motorcycle out of the wet slurry and proceed to wash her motorcycle. then they let her ride off!! I lectured (I might have yelled) at everyone. that lady would have been in cuffs, after I called CHP. she bullied them into helping and letting her go!!! GAH..now i'm pissed all over again. |
No matter what speed I go, there will always be that tailgating "Camaro driver" behind me who demands to have a clear path, even when it isn't possible at the moment.,,,patience !
Can you imagine the stress, and elevated blood pressure of driving like that ? |

Here is a link that you can spend hours watching stupid drivers.....
https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/ I keep it on my bookmarks to check into every few days. |
If I was on the motorcycle....I just keep going. The dude in the truck is obviously unhinged. So worked up he forgot to put his truck shifter into park when he stopped. Then I noticed he was also wearing Crocs!!! Oh the humanity.......

Too bad the truck didn't coast into a river.

That was a completely stupid situation. The guy on the motorcycle shouldn't have stopped, shouldn't have been anywhere that the guy in the truck could get to him. And, maybe I'm wrong because I don't fight, but should have kept is helmet on. If you're going to get into a fist fight with some random stranger, may as well keep your helmet on. Wow, very messed up, 165# 5'10" kid on a bike tries to fight 6'8" 310# guy that was probably double his age. That was almost comical. |
The MC was nice enough to shout out the pu rolling.
The green dude needed to turn around and go home. |

The kid may or may not have been speeding or driving dangerously. I've been in cars that looked and or sounded fast and had "old men" yell at me to slow down despite me driving the speed limit. I've also seen those same old men shoot past my house at 10 over in a 20 zone in their whisper quiet lincolns and toyotas. |
It's been my observation that drivers who drive at or below the speed limit are usually the worst drivers when it comes to using common sense. They are the ones who usually run a light or gun through a stop sign or pull out in front of someone.

Slow left lane drivers are a hazard....to everyone bunched together behind them because of their unwillingness to move. My favorite is when they are reading a book or watching a movie (I've seen both on I-85 near Atlanta). South Carolina passed this law recently to combat it.

It's a real concern and something based on science - not emotion. Which is why it is so important. Of course most don't realize nor understand this concept because it's never mentioned by media in their reporting of road rage incidents. |

Multiple dashcam videos show two vehicles involved in a road rage incident that happened on a Dallas highway.
A little before 1:45 p.m. on March 1, 2024, a driver in Dallas captured video of a truck with a flatbed trailer and SUV involved in road rage on an overpass between I-35E and I-635. The driver shared it on his Instagram account, @sookmiyagi. The driver of the truck also shared his dashcam video of the incident. In part of the dashcam video, the SUV driver appears to be brake-checking in front of the truck and trying to keep the truck driver from getting around him. When the truck drives into the left lane trying to get around the SUV, the SUV then veers to the left as well and crashes into the truck. As the truck continues to drive forward, the flatbed trailer rips the bumper off the SUV before driving away. After these videos were posted, the driver of the SUV reached out to WFAA through social media and shared video of what appears to be what happened before the videos that went viral. In that video, the truck driver looks to be changing from the left lane to the right lane without leaving enough room between the SUV driver and the truck in front of him. The truck's trailer appears to clip the left side of the SUV based on the shaking of the vehicle's dashcam video. The SUV then drives into the left lane, trying to get around the truck. However, the truck driver moves into the left lane as well, driving past the left edge of the lane and leaving very little room between the SUV and the edge of the highway. This looks to be what led to the dashcam video initially posted to Instagram. Bigfoot waved at him to slow down. Moto turned around, caught up, and parked next to his pickup. "How dare you tell me to slow down" That's how it started, I think. Tango partners. |
Many years ago I met a Dodge Aspen on the road near home and was so alarmed at the amount of negative camber on his left front wheel, I flagged the driver down. When I told him why I had asked him to stop, his response was, "WTF business is of yours?". I responded that I drove these roads every day and didn't want to be met with a wheel coming off some car. He did not take my concerns to heart, uttered another obscenity and left the scene at what I guessed was full throttle.
Shortly after that I believe the vehicle failed an impromptu roadside inspection. ;) Hey, it's a small town. :D Best Les |
I noticed a car with an almost flat tire once and motioned for the driver to roll her window down.
She did so and immediately told me "Eff off....I already have an effing boyfriend!" Then I informed her of her almost flat tire. She then asked me if I could help her with it. I replied "Why don't you ask your effing boyfriend?" :D |
Yea Baz!
Good looks and a quick wit. :D Best Les |
