Chrome ... favorites .... question?
Usually, a second time accessing a web page would add it to my "favorites" when opening a new browser window. Everything is working like it always has except "gmail"... yeah, yeah... I know
![]() I cleared everything out, no effect... just curious if anyone had a tip. I'm practicing being "lazy" .... hoping to move in with 1990C4S ![]() Thanks! |

I avoid Google Chrome like the plague so can't help other than to suggest moving to Firefox.

When you open gmail...click on the favorites star at the end of the address bar.
That will drop down a box to 'add bookmark...then click on folder...then bookmards bar. Done. ![]()

Very weird since chrome and gmail both come under the Google umbrella. I'm surprised there's not a permanent button for gmail in the browser.

There is you just have to enable the extension for it. You can also get buttons for other Google apps like Drive, etc.

I only access 4-5 web pages typically, so usually have them show up the second time I access a page. I clear caches on a regular basis and this started about a week ago. "Gmail.com" is the only one that doesn't pop up automagically now ....
If I have to type it all out from now on .... well .... somebody owes me an explanation! Where's Lucy ![]() |

I think what Steve is mentioning is bookmarks and what KC is talking about is pages that appear when you open chrome?
When I open Chrome, google search is my home page. It shows tabs (no not him) below the search bar for frequently used sites.

^^^ That's prob correct.
I'm not familiar with pages that appear when opening chrome. (unless they were open upon shutdown)

You must have changed a setting? I still have my most visited sites appear on the google search home page along with gmail.

^^^ If I changed something .... I don't remember doing it. It's just wierd .... like I said earlier, I clear all my caches on a regular basis, then about a week ago I noticed "gmail" was the only site that hadn't popped back in. I've cleared all caches several times since. On my second visit, any site will pop up on the chrome page... all of them except Gmail.
No biggie.... just strange. You guys are no help .... no help at all! Thanks ![]() |

And now I have three gmail icons amongst a few others on the Chrome page .
I've done nothing special .... well, except not visiting porn sites this morning ![]() I did clear the caches again earlier this morning, nothing changed, then tried 3-4 times using slightly different variations of gmail.... nada. Now, all of a sudden, all of the gmail variations are showing up as icons... Bigguns.com awaits .... see y'all later ![]() |
