What should consequences be for those that decline the vax?

For whatever reason you don't get the vax, what should be the consequences?

Looks like 42% okay with mandatory jab, 57% against in other poll.

Abide by the decisions of businesses, institutions, who have elected to impose restrictions on access to or use of services.

gordner 08-03-2021 10:03 AM

exactly, live with whatever restrictions that decision garners.

Likely not ever to travel internationally again to start with.

2nd tier medical care based upon availability with a maximum fund cap .

masraum 08-03-2021 10:11 AM

Nothing forced. Consequences are that they might get sick.

If you are concerned about getting sick, vaccinated or not, you can continue to distance and wear a mask.

I wonder if this how Germans felt in the Weimar...

Actually, that's pretty good. Maybe not intentionally worse care, but certainly, best effort care, in other words, if 2 folks come in and one is infected with covid but not vaccinated, then they have to wait until the other person has been cared for.

Pretty much.

Exactly. Same with smoking or drinking. One accepts the consequences. Freedom to live one's life how they want to.

No. First in, first served unless one has more severe symptoms. Then you go with the sickest.

There are some good ideas posted so far, and some not so good. When positing a course of action, consider you may be creating a precedent, which can and will be used in the future for better or worse. How your course of action may be used in future scenarios must be considered with great care.

stomachmonkey pretty much nailed it.

Maybe a national vote with these questions?

KFC911 08-03-2021 11:04 AM

I think they should be asked to post in PARF ... but if they chose not to, then what :D?

We have had ZERO mandatory lockdowns in this country ... and now another (BS)ARF thread...

HRC is coming to personally take yer guns boyz .... and then give you a vaccine while Biden holds you down on the table! Is that the narrative now?

Puleeze....

wilnj 08-03-2021 11:06 AM

Covid gulag....

drcoastline 08-03-2021 11:09 AM

The consequences should be exactly the same as those who do not get a flu shot or those who have unprotected sex.

Probably what it will come to. What’s difficult to understand is that I am vaccinated and will have unfettered access even though I can still contract and transmit the virus just like my wife. She will be locked out even though she is just as likely to contract and transmit the virus, the difference being she is at greater risk to herself if she does contract it.

You "can" get Covid and she "can" get Covid, but you're about 1/10th as likely to get Covid as she is, and if you do, you are likely to be infectious to others for a shorter period of time - hence, less likely to transmit.
